I dialled the upgrade number 0800 1313136, paid the early upgrade fee & had the 4 32GB-that was done & dusted at 1pm today. Have had the emails with tracking number but no text yet at 3.10pm. Hopefully I'll get it soon...?

I'm still waiting for tracking number. Ordered at 1240 so getting a little concered now.

The Orange online order situation sounds really poor, cant believe they are pulling this s*** on customers still.

Ordered one from them yesterday morning as it showed stock so I thought worth a try. Picked saturday delivery as well.
Now I wonder how many other people did the same and just how many will get their order on the date stated on the confirmation.

To anyone who got a phone from Orange recently, at what time of day did the status change to dispatched?

To anyone thinking of placing an order online with Orange.. do not do it!

They are advertising online as having iphones 'in stock' and they simply do not.

I placed an order online last Friday for the 16gb as it was listed as 'in stock' it also said i could have it the next day and i paid for that, 6 days later and it is still not here.

Surely they can't sell phones to people that they say they have in stock when they actually don't?!

Really pissed off as my local o2 store has had stock in store since i placed my order with Orange

Same here.. i placed my order last thursday morning for a 32gb and got a confirmation email for next day delivery. It still hasnt arrived.
Made numerous calls to CS and they just keep saying, your in the queue.

Have you looked at your online order tracking?, what does yours say.
Since last thursday mine has said 'Being Readied for dispatch'.

6 days later and its still being readied!!!!!!!.

same thing

'Order Being Readied For Dispatch'

Apparently it takes Orange 144 hours + to take a box off a shelf... or maybe they lied to their customers to get orders in.

Hopefully this will hit mainsteam media soon, there are a LOT of people in the same position.

I'm in the same position as you guys.

Ordered a 32gb on the 24th and have been lied to several times by customer services in regards to when it will arrive.

They even had 32gb in stock on their site yesterday, with next day delivery available, yet they haven't sent ours out yet!!!

I get the feeling they don't care now that they've got our money.

A little pee'd off that people who have ordered this week got theirs before us, but congrats to them I guess! :jealous: :(

The worse decision I made was ordering through orange instead of vodafone on the 24th...............I would of had it last friday!

Were all the people that managed to get an upgrade from O2 today on tariffs of > £35 per month?

I'm on £35 per month, and contract ran out in January, but they wouldn't do anything for me (except switch me to a cheaper tariff). Been with them since the first iPhone in November 2007...

I'm on the Apple Regents St store reserve/priority list since Monday, but I'm impatient... :)

I was on 35 p/month since first iphone with 3g upgrade, on 25 p/month since feb and upgraded today. Still no tracking number tho!

Yeah, read a lot of bad posts re ordering from Orange but also read some people did get lucky and got one quickly so did it anyway.

However if my order does not show as dispatch by say 4pm tomorrow will ring up and cancel the order, if I can get thru that is ;)
then just sit back and wait if the faults get fixed or the white one comes out (thats way off I reckon, august all least!) and is fault free, lol?

Have to say, I think we are all mad!
Every day now another fault comes out about ip4, todays being yellowing of pics taken with the rear camera due to white balance issues, yet here we all are still hoping to get one asap and that ours will be a good one! lol well you never know huh.

I've bought many Apple products from the Apple Store online and have never been charged at the time of order UNLESS they were able to dispatch the goods straight away.

I think you'll find that you are the exception to the rule.

Apple 'reserve' the funds, but they don't usually take payment until the goods are dispatched.

He's not, i've had £499 taken from my account since i ordered it about 5 days ago...won't ship till July 16th..bit peeved personally..it's a 'preorder' after all.

Tesco

Just spoken to Tesco, still no stock or no ideas when they will have any. Advised me to keep ringing up and asking to see if they have any more information.

My order status has been "Order Being Readied For Dispatch" for a week now....... :(

Same here, i keep on checking just hoping its going to change to 'Dispatched'.

I live in hope!.

Im sure Orange must know what a serious situation they have with these web orders, hopefully stock will be arriving any day now and they will all get sent out.

I've only ever been on a £30 p/m tariff for past 18 months

Just had the text.

Sometime between 9am and 9pm tommorow, I will have my 4.

Thanks to my laziness in not reducing my o2 contract down after my initial 18 month has elevated me to gold priority customer status :)

Hurrah for laziness!

Just had despatched text (4.15) (from O2) after ordering at about 1pm today-delivery between 9am-9pm tomorrow-looking good...

jst spk to 02. Apparently i jst missed on on 2day stock, even tho i was told they had some when i ordered, but they are getting more in 2moro and mine will be dispatched then

Orange Web Orders

Orange online is allowing orders now for both 16gb and 32gb on contract.

Cant believe this is happening when they havent even sent out back orders from the 24th yet!.

Orange are showing stock online now for both 16gb & 32gb models.

If this is a trick just to make there sales figures look good they are in big trouble.
They are breaking several parts of the online trading standards guidelines.
Showing an item is in stock when it is not, giving a dispatch date then not meeting it due to no stock (same as first but diff angle), taking payment before goods are dispatched etc. Even taking new orders without filling the earlier ones is a no no.

Oh boy you guys should complain to trading standards, I believe you can do it online for website orders!

Hi guys.
Quick question, you who ordered iP4 through apple store. What time did they send the packages?

mmmm I ordered it at 1:11 on June 15 and received it at around 11 on june 24th, I think it depends where you live compared to the courier

I just got a call from Apple Technical Senior Advisor for the iPhone. She basically said that the engineers said this was typical behaviour for the handset, and part of the design as you are covering the antenna. She said that if you are having problems, a case will help it out, confirming what we all know. Also, to try and move your fingers around. Shame.

I've got a Bumper on the way, so that will help out if I accidentally move my finger while on a call.

dyou get that free?

I got an iPhone 4 from CPW on Tuesday this week. I am moving from O2 to Vodafone and at the time of purchase gave my PAC code. The system in CPW came up saying that the date of number transfer would be 1st July (today). I have just had a text from Vodafone saying that the new number will go live by 4pm 2nd July.

I'm confused. When will the number transfer. Today, and they are giving themselves some breathing space? Or tomorrow and I was lied to by the system the other day when instore?

Anyone any experience?

I would go with vodafone info as the networks always know best, carphone warehouse and phones4u are just retards tbh :)

Rang orange again, the guy I talked to was clueless and said all he could do was send an email to the sales team to push my order forward (forward???!!! I ordered at 3am on the 24th :mad::mad:)

I asked for a delivery date, but he said it would be sometime next week. I asked why they'd lied to me 3 times about the delivery date........no answer. I asked why they're saying they've got stock on their website, he said because they're getting some iphones on monday.

So I basically told him to cancel the order and that I want the £220 returned to my bank account.........he said it'll take 24hrs to do and mumbled alot......

***** Orange, I don't care that I won't get an iphone for a couple weeks now, I'd rather wait than give my money to bunch of lying theives
