My contract is my mothers name, so it's been a nightmare trying to get down to a store with her when they have stock. We're both always working. Anyway, today she is off but is visiting family in London. There is a store where she is going that got stock in this morning, but she insisted she wasn't going because she had a shopping trip elsewhere planned.

She usually goes out of her way to help me, and I really believe that she went this morning and picked me one up. But there is that chance that she didn't, and if she didn't, all hell is going to break lose considering the 3rd batch of stock won't be in for weeks after this one is gone.

God help you mother, I hope you did the right thing.

She didn't get me one. Really gutted.

Oh yeah she sounds a total horror. Absolutely vile.

Imagine - living her life and doing something for herself instead of going out of her way to get you a ... phone.

That's right - you give that woman who's brought you up absolute hell because she didn't go out of her way to get you ... a phone.

Sheesh. Poor woman.

guys, which carrier here in the uk gives the most MBs per month for internet for pay as you go?

Orange Dolphin plan gives Unlimited '100mb' per month, and that is the only plan with internet i think, without paying ridiculous amounts.

I mean 250mb would be good... 500mb would be excelent. any more woud be fantastic! ofc :D

Oh and how do i check how much data i use, just want to check how much i use while doing certain things.

3 give 150mb each time you top up, you can check on the iPhone by going on settings>general>usage and scroll down to mobile network usage :)

when are O2 going to release it on PAYG does anyone know, pissing me right off, I want one nowww but theres a 3 week wait with apple and O2 originally said PAYG would be available at launch so I held out for that and now they've left me I4'less :(

I assume there is no other way for me to get one on PAYG to use on O2 apart from through apple at this time?

Thanks for the heads up. Just rang that number, chose the 'if you are thinking of leaving us' option, told them I'd ordered from apple and would leave O2 when the phone arrived (due on the 15th), and the nice lady told me they'd courier me a phone for Monday. :)

Thanks for the heads up, Just got my own order through there, 16GB & should be with me on tuesday!!! The very pleasant woman from O2 said the have plenty of stock at the moment for existing O2 customers.

depends how much you want to pay....ebay?

Just arranged my new 32gb with o2. Rung them up looking to upgrade because I'm currently on the £20 simplicity iphone tariff since my original 18 month contract on the 3g expired, and was told I couldn't order over the phone. So I then said I'd like to cancel my contract so am passed to someone else who immediately says that they can send me one in 2 working days.

What with selling my white 16gb 3g for £209, so in effect I'm cost neutral atm, I'm happy as larry!

i just reserved the phone today at regent street when do you think i will get it and i pre ordered it on 29th june and estimate time of delivery is on 27th july.

please tell me.

I'm not paying over the odds for one they are like 800 quid for a 16gb on ebay, you've got to be out of your mind to pay that.

I will wait, as I have no choice, but just wish they hadn't said they would have it then gone back on it. I haven't bothered placing my order with apple yet either incase O2 release it on PAYG within the 3 week waiting time apple have.

does it stack?, so i can use 50mb one week then i top up another measly £5 and i get a whopping total of 250mb? :D ?

If so... how is their internet speed like?

If you commit to £15 a month Three give you 1GB data allowance each month

any other carriers do this? maybe cheaper? i'm not committed to any and i have good coverage from most as i live in an urban area :D

the thing is, i dont want to commit... i just want an ipad data plan for an iphone :p i dont really use basic sms and calling.

Skype ftw

Surely you could just order it from Apple and then if o2 release PAYG before it's delivered, either cancel your order or sell your Apple sourced Iphone 4 on Ebay when that is delivered? Hopefully making a little profit too....

2 things... is it even possible to cancel an order without a load of hassle through apple?

Also... I suspect in 3 weeks time, the main wave of excitement and customer demand will of died down and they will be readily available so they won't be selling for silly money on ebay anymore.

Apologies if this was asked earlier in the thread but I was looking at the O2 tariffs. Following this table, it looks like I can get a 16GB iPhone 4 for £179, with £15 a month on the 12 month simplicity plan.

Is that right? This table is pretty confusing.

no simplicity is only if you have bought the phone already (as in from the apple store). The £179 includes a subsidy that you get through paying more per month. Apple store price is currently £499 for the phone.

If you could do as you suggested then no-one would sign up to the pay monthly plans.

Ah, okay. So that table was confusing!

No. You don't get an iPhone on the simplicity plan.

by hassle, you mean contacting them right? legally they have to allow you at least a 7 day cooling off period from delivery, and SJ has said that this is 30 days for iPhone 4. So if you cancel before delivery they should accept it, if they don't you'll still be able to return, getting a refund minus delivery costs.

And you'll still make the majority of your money back if that is the case. I can't see there suddenly being a glut of iPhone 4's being available for at least a couple of months, so you should make at least your money back. But you will have got it quicker, so would be a small price to pay :p
