So 3 performs well for you? What speeds do you typically get and how do you find their coverage? I'm in East Anglia, and O2 are very, very poor! :D

I'm in mid Wales and just switched to three for my iPad. Hubby and I speed tested together - he's still with orange. My speed with three = 2564 kb/s orange 569 kb/s (download). I was astonished as we had switched to orange from O2 who were awful!!

Ive decided to jump to Three for my iPhone too. Will get unlocked iPhone from apple and then have the micro sim from three

yep, for me it's been great. I'm on the outskirts of P'Borough and indoors I'm currently getting ~2mbps on the iPad w/THREE (using the speedtest.net app)

I would suggest you do what I did - get a free PAYG sim from all the networks and see which is best for you.

After my scotland trip w/iPad and couple of weeks with a 3 PAYG SIM in my iPhone, I'm porting my O2 number to 3 on their £15/m tariff from Monday next week.

Yup it was my iPad experience that has got me going to the same tariff as you ;)

Newcastle - Eldon Square Apple Store - Sold out of Both the 16gb and the 32gb.

Do they sell the phones to people in the priority list only or walk-in customers as well? I did put my name in the priority list on the 24th of June at Eldon Square but haven't got any email from Apple about stock availability yet. =/

3)if you get a goody bag you get unlimited internet even past 1st october

well, i think i am getting the £10 contract, which is half price so £5 with the unlimited data, but this unlimited sounds too good to be true >:/ as well, probably capped with fair use...

I was wondering if three do any rolling, no commitment contracts with unlimited. 1gb would suffice, maybe.

anyway, i got a sim coming so i can try it out. But does anyone know what the speeds of Three are compared to o2 and vodafone? I hope thye are fast or better than vodafone. Vodafone in my area is borderline on a black berry...

edit: LOOK WHAT I FOUND!

http://threestore.three.co.uk/simonly.aspx (look down to sim only internet)

Sounds like a challenege to the giffgaff goodybag, and it is a rolling contract! whooopy!

edit2: lol no calls or texts at all! :p but still, trade that far fast download speeds? but for only 1gb... Gah! You give up one thing for something else...

Hello,

I'm sure this has been covered but its a massive thread. I'm currently on a 30-day Simplicity 20 for iPhone (600m, 1200txt and unlimited) and i want to know if its still possible to switch to the 12 month version with unlimited texts and still get the unlimited data too i.e. or is it too late now?

What are your thoughts on T-Mobile? I really want an iPhone 4 and I cannot decide which network to go for. Cost isn't a major issue, I just want a fast/reliable/well-covered network that doesn't drop calls constantly like O2.

I spend most of my time in rural areas so I'm looking for a network that performs well in that kind of environment.

I'm seriously considering Vodafone and T-Mobile, but I'm concerned at the lack of visual voicemail, unlocking and the network restriction on VOIP.

Please share your thoughts, experiences and opinions on this - I'm desperate! :D

To be honest its a matter of preferrence and it also matters where you live.
But if I'm honest T-mobiles network isn't that great if you live outside london.
For my experince I gotta say that they have poor customer service as well as poor reception (as as I know cause working at the moment outside london)
But inside london I get full bars as there signal strenght is pretty good.

I dont really know abou phodaphone. I know that three isn't that great for me as I had problems with their networks. Orange was quite nice to have when I last year had the iphone 3gs on orange. I never lost any signals even outside london...
But it really depends on where you live and where you actually spend most of time travelling or working. Hope it helps :D

TNT are giving me a headache. I just want my iPhone, is that too hard for them to understand? This is the second caveat in me getting the damn thing on time.

What have they done? (Or rather, what have they not done?) I'm expecting my DHL delivery on Monday but I'm rather concerned as my friend in Surrey said that the driver left his iPhone outside his house! He was quite lucky that no one stole it.

 Leaving it outside is a big no-no, even where I live.

What they've done: moved it to Hong Kong
What they didn't do: ship it on the flight that left at 9AM, local time, due to a problem. It's still meant to ship today (yesterday).... but there isn't another plane that leaves for the UK... unless it goes into transit into another country, but TNT never do that.

The only thing you can do now is complain and patiently wait for your iphone to somehow be shipped or flied to the UK...
But this is really anyoing.....hope that it doesn't happen to me

Thanks, I'll be calling up TNT later, I might not even be in on Wednesay, or Thursday or Friday :/

Ouch, that sucks. Atleast you have some information! Turns out DHL doesn't operate over the weekend at all so the tracking number I have still does not work.

Oh and sods law has it that after waiting for a week for the local store to have stock I got fed up and ordered via customer service. Then I go to the store today and they had many iPhones left over. Now I have to wait until monday/tuesday. :(

Hope you get yours soon though.

I don't see the point in the tracking system (web) not working during the weekends - it makes no sense to me. I think these types of companies should be operational during the weekends as well.

In my experience the only one that has been operational during weekends (or rather, just Saturday) has been Royal Mail in terms of delivery. But RM, TNT and UPS have always set up the tracking numbers over the weekend so I was quite surprised when DHL didn't. Oh well.

Sorry to hear that mate. You might even be able to get compensation because your order has been delayed through a human error (employee's).
That actually really Su*k*'s. Think about........Its suprising that this kind of mistakes only happen when its a new batch product of apple. Same thing happen to my ipad....

Well the other day i walked into Tesco and got my name put down on the Iphone priority list which i am about 70th and not many above me want 32GB. So how does it work is it first come first severed OR will they work there way down the list when they have the phones in ?

How do you know that .... have you spoken to them ? Mine's due for delivery tomorrow (in the same shipment ?) with TNT, but it just says 'Shipment In Transit' at present.

they have that as a 30 day rolling contract :) but if you're a person that talks and needs internet... they do a sim only plan for £15 a month 30 day rolling where you get 300 cross networks minutes, unlimited (2000) 3-3 minutes, unlimited (3000) texts, 1gb internet, free skype, msn... :D
