I'm in two minds still, should I go and grab one on Tesco Mobile this morning and join the party or hold out for T-Mobile who are now looking beyond fashionably late and don't look like their coming at all......

Just got back from Trafford Centre (Sunday).

Went to shop for clothes for my daughter and there was a queue of about 5 people outside o2 shop. Sign said iphone 32gb only.
I don't have a phone contract with o2 so thought I wouldn't be able to get one. Manager said that restriction has now been lifted and I walked out (about 20 mins later) with a 32gb iphone4 with a new contract.
O2 didn't have any bumpers but apple shop (which didn't have any iphones) , had loads of black bumpers. Happy days!

Woman said they had 40 32gb at 10am and would sell out within the hour. Just lucky I suppose

I loved O2's customer service but their network was terrible. Calls would often go directly to voicemail, SMSs would go undelivered our I wouldn't receive them.
Switched to T-Mobile PAYG, and have unlimited internet for a £10 top-up. All the problems that I had with O2 have disappeared.

I'm really looking forward to getting an iPhone4 but would not sign a contract of any length with O2.

I'm in exactly the same position. I'm still undecided about iPhone 4. I suppose getting one SIM free is the best option.

What's the general feeling about Tesco Mobile?? After been offered S*!t all from T-Mobile I'm considering one of their 12 month contracts but I hear they use the O2 network as the backbone for theirs, which is a huge concern for me......

I got a pay motnhly with Tesco on day of release. No issues with them. Activated in the shop so was good to go. Took about 10 mins and I was on my way. PAC trasnfer was fine too. Took 2 days. Signal on O2 is fine for me as I was on O2 already.

No complaints from me.

Like the guy who went to the Trafford Centre and got one from o2, I was in Southport on Saturday and both o2 and Phones4U had stock. o2 had quite a few and must have sold 20 just when I was in there.

So, why has it seems none of the Apple Stores got any further stock, they only make the damn things!!

what does it display for the mobile carrier logo?

any tesco branding on the voicemail?

I have a question. Is anyone able to activate tethering on their iPhone with O2?

I can load the webpage but when tap to purchase I receive page not found. Any ideas?

I cut my 3 card down last night and am very pleased. I have 300 mins, 3000 texts and 2GB of data monthly for £15 on a 30 day contract. I even managed to set up my internet tethering by bluetooth and it is free! The speed seems very good and I now get 3G at work where there was GPRS if I was lucky on O2. Even customer services were very helpful last night when I set up my PAC transfer and international roaming... overall a happy new customer here.

Thats great news about the tethering, shame can't tether my iPad though:(

I don't see 300 mins, 3000 texts and 2GB of data monthly for £15 on a 30 day contract. on three's online store? How did you get 2gb?

I got it in store. They are doing a deal where you get a 1GB add-on for free at the moment... total 2GB per month. I was unlimited on O2 but I reckon this should be fine for my needs.

Does the 1GB add-on last a few months or the whole of the contract?

i just have this in the collomn

In transit to final destination - carrier details to be updated shortly.

and hasnt changed! anyone else having this problem ?

Yes, mine got shipped on Friday, but no carrier details yet.

I phoned Apple and they said there is no carrier details because it isn't in the country yet which seems wrong. They said it should get updated by tomorrow though, as they allow 3 working days to update the details if coming from overseas.

Not sure how accurate this is as the assistant had to keep putting me on hold to get help, guess I'll find out later.

Hope that helps.

Dave

Got mine about an hour ago. Microsim is working now and I've noticed the antenna issues. What do you think I should do? :(

What were you expecting? The only people claiming the issues "don't" effect them are idiots that don't leave their house. All iPhones 4 have the issue, your two options are live with it and wait for a possible fix, or return and get a good, working phone - be it a 3GS or an Android.

You have a while to think about it I guess...

i've joined 3 a few days after iPhone 4 was released... cut my cim down and also on the £15 per month sim only deal... but as i went via their website i only get 1gb deal not 2gb... not overly fussed as it's probably more than adequate :)

I've also had no problems with their customer service.. it's pretty very efficient and very friendly.. all queries answered well and sim received in the post next day.

I've not got an official micro sim which was activated last night, so no more cut down sim for me :)

What is interesting is the tethering is FREE!!! that was a bonus :)

shame i can't tether my Wifi iPad to it though :(

I am not having the signal issue at all 3G wherever i am and not just in the house, nor do the other four people at work who also have the ip4 where I work no problems at all happy to keep my phone and they all intend keeping theirs. Think the problem exists somewhere but not with all.
