Simple.

The phones ordered 2 weeks ago are due to ship by next week.

Any phones ordered now will ship in 3 weeks time.

Supply is roughly matching demand.

Wonder if it will ever go down to 1 week or even a few business days

does anyone know what the story is if you want to purchase a Sim Free handset from a retail store? is it still waiting lists?

I think I have some sort of vision problem. When I close my eyes, I can still see the works "Not yet shipped".

I think I need to lie down in a darkened room for a bit.

Advice please!

Finally got my ip4 but having signal strength issues even when flat on a desk.

My problem is this, in an internal office iphone 3g on o2 gives full bars, a tmobile payg gives full bars but most of the time the iphone 4 on orange gives 1 bar or searching! All phones are just flat on a desk.

Is it the network or the iphone!?

Thing is I only have so many days to return to orange saying network no good for me etc.

My Orange iPhone 4 has one bar 3G (rubbish) BUT when I do a speedtest on this one and on the 3GS which has 4 bars on O2 the orange one is QUICKER! .. as apple said (on mine at least) it is more about the way the bars 'appear' than an actual signal 'fault' (could have just been a cop out by apple tho lol)

Either way, it's faster than my O2 3GS so I'm happy :D

Also, the bars go down when I hold on that 'left corner' BUT I have it in a fold case so it's fine !!

BGR states Apple stores may be opening early for a second launch on Wednesday, Think this will be true for the UK? Still need to get my hands on one.

If they do have a shipment in, will they have spares for walk in buyers?

Gosh I hope so!

hey guys. i have a question.

im from the philippines. and its currently july 6 here. my friend is in the uk. and i wanna ask him to bring me an UNLOCKED iphone 4 here when he comes back on july 11. i was wondering, where can he buy an unlocked iphone 4? and will he be able to purchase it before he leaves?

Yes from the apple store...sime free.
But the thing is that he probably won't be able to get hold of one because they are all low on stock...
So the best thing is to wait until it comes out in you country...

philippines is gonna get it sometime august-september. i aint waiting that long. xD :p

has anyone been able to jsut walk in and buy one since launch?

who do you reckon will ship these to our houses? UPs?

And do you think they will leave it, leaning on our doors or on our doorsteps?
I really am dreading the fact that i am away for most of the normal delivery times...

edit: some people can see the company delivering, how do i check mine? They are on a special website and all i know is the apple order tracking page...

I've been lurking on these board since the iPhone 4 was announced at WWDC. I thought that I would finally post as like many others I have been on a priority list for my iPhone for over a week now and can relate to the frustration caused by the lack of information. I rang both Apple store Birmingham and Solihull today, neither had any stock and neither had received any since the launch day. Although the guy from the Birmingham store was optimistic about stock arriving this week.

What I find most annoying is that most service providers have received stock this week, but those who choose to buy direct from Apple are stuck waiting with zero information. If anybody else has anymore information on store availability in UK it would be much appreciated.

I cant believe the shortages, considering it was only released in a few countries! I can imagine there will be even more shortages once it gets released to more countries. The prices on eBay for the iPhone 4 are crazy!!

Wow, i realised my hate with a passion for waiting for things.

edit: hang on, giffgaff goodybags are rolling contracts or a one month top up with some stuff in it for a cheap price?

cos i really like the £5 one, if it was like that every month... if i have to pay £10, might as well invest in Three £15 rolling contract with internets + special offer with an extra 1gb :D

TNT, IMO, if they don't catch you, they try to redeliver. I don't think they will leave it.

People can see the company delivering? You mean, the tracking of the shipment itself?
