Yes I had awful problems with signal issue as have many others. You will only notice the problem in medium to low signal areas. I’ve taken my iPhone 4 back to Orange for a refund. Have to say Orange made it very difficult for me to return the phone. This is the 2nd time I have had problems with their customer service so have returned to o2.

Did not see any yellow dots.

Was sold out again last night but the exact same link is now back to add to basket so i don't think this is a website problem as Tesco would of sorted it surely ?

Interesting Tesco twist.

Just rang them to see if they knew what my new number was going to be and they didn't didn't mention anything about cancellation. Just confirmed the pick up at store tomorrow.

Also, did anyone noticed the 'unlimited web and data' in the title of the link? This isn't true of the phones on their mobile phone site.

With this conference tomorrow, I was really hoping they said it was cancelled.

"Apple recall iPhone 4 for 'Antenna issues' and 'Uber frail casing', biggest recall since Toyota!" Shock, Awe, Tears, Utter disappointment :D:D:D

Anyone got an ideas for tomorrow conference, or will it be the usual Apple damage control.

PS I dropped my 3G from 6 feet yesterday...on purpose...and not even a scratch!

Tesco really need to make their mind up as to whether or not the iPhone 4 is available online. Last night the link went to "Out of Stock", which indicated to me that they had corrected their website error. But now it has gone back to allowing you to purchase the phone online. Surely if the phone can't be brought online ... why even have the product up on the website?

My order still says at warehouse - dispatching soon. Delivery scheduled tomorrow.

Likewise, placed order 3PMish yesterday afternoon for a 16GB/£20pm and it's dispatching soon for delivery tomorrow. We'll see. I'm now thinking, if they don't allow phones by delivery, I should of opted for in store pickup, hmm.

My order from Tuesday on the Tesco Direct site is still showing as dispatched and due for delivery today. Given that nobody else seems to have received theirs I really doubt anything will be turning up. I'm more or less resigned to the fact I'll be ringing them tonight to suggest that they give me money back.

riveting thread, chaps! cheerio.

has the antenna problem been occurring overseas as well, or is it an isolated US phone issue? just wondering if this has anything to do with the difference in frequencies, fcc regulations, etc.

"ok thats HDNL rang. its deffo on the van and i now have my tracking number" for HUKD :)

My collegue at work here in London has the iP4, only has to look at it and the signal drops. No seriously, if you handle the phone at all without a bulky cover you wont get signal.

Hi everyone, its been a while. Is anyone else having issues with o2 3g today? I can't seem to pick up any cell data inc. 3g.

Tesco have honoured my online order

I posted yesterday that I had responded to a Tesco email by placing on online order. As with others, that was subsequently cancelled. Harranguing Tesco Direct people on the phone had no effect, though I did submit formal complaints by letter and online. I was told repeatedly that Tesco had no stock and that all I could do was wait until the phone became available again, at which point I could place another order (but not online).

Yesterday, I tried again to order, this time specifying that I'd collect the phone in-store, rather than await delivery. After a few hours, I got the "there's a problem with your order, someone will contact you" message.

This morning, to my surprise, someone from Tesco did phone me. They took all my details and aarranged the contract and payment. The phone is to be delivered tomorrow.

So perhaps online orders are being fulfilled, after all. And it certainly looks like Tesco has some stock.

Whether this has anyhting to do with me hassling Tesco, I don't know.

Tesco Direct Orders

Just got off the phone with Tesco.

Apparently the only orders that are being canceled are those that don't have contracts assigned to them. I was assured that my order was fine and that I would have received a call straight away if a problem was encountered. I know however some of you guys have had them canceled with contracts ... so who knows whats going on!

lol .. you know that 'cheerio' means 'goodbye' right?! :D

Anyways .. yup the problem is 'worldwide' it seems .. if i hold the bottom left corner on mine I can get the signal to drop bit by bit and then it returns bit by bit as I let go. It's not affected me at all tho as I'm obviously 'lucky' with the way I hold my phone!!

What do you mean by those without contracts assigned? Not just PAYG orders I assume? I don't think they could make this much more confusing if they tried.

Ordered a ip4 32gb £35 pm for 12m yesterday from tesco at 11:30

The tracking link said there was a problem so i just called them and they said the order has been canceled and they need to credit my account.

he said it was an error on the site .......

Agreed, they couldn't make this a buying experience any worse if they tried. Surely buying online should have 3 simple steps 1) pay 2) receive delivery 3) enjoy your purchase. Not be unsure if the product will ever turn up.

The lady I spoke to was confused as to why orders would be canceled and I then had to explain that "apparently you don't allow online contract orders and/or are currently out of stock" ... after a 2 min wait to ask about the issue she returned with that information. It was clear that she had no better idea of what was going on than us. As a result I decided to keep the convo fairly short. I think I'll call up a bit later to see if i get someone else answer the call.

Tesco's! What a bunch of jokers!!!

They cancelled my online order from the other day. They then said it was my fault for ordering online.

I then placed an order by phone this morning. Was on hold for over an hour.

Then received an email saying this order was also cancelled as THEY made a c0ck up in my bank details

On hold again for over an hour and ordered another one.

Now just waiting now to see what happens!!!!!

Wow, considering I placed my order almost 24 hours ago and it is yet to show the cancelled message, I'm hoping it is fulfilled and they ring to sort out the contract. Wish me luck!

could it be that some payments are being made with a credit card and i seem to recall that a debit card has to be used for accounts?
