I know there are 2 or 3 different ways to check order status with Verizon, and they typically all read something slightly different. Any have those links I’m referring to?

Why does everyone’s order confirmation email slightly differ in look? Mine shows no preorder confirmation number by shows a deliver by date. I’m confused as to why that is...some customers get more or less info to go off of.

I am still blown away that I am slated to get in on release day. This was my first time preordering online so didn’t know what to expect but I was on top of things. Used my wife’s line to do device payment upgrade and giving her my 8 plus IF I like the X better. All I have to do is swap out the SIM cards right even though the device payments will still be tied to the line the phones were purchased on?

I see this every year. I think it has to do with how hard the server was getting hit at the time. Eventually if you look in you Verizon order summery the info will start to appear. Could just be random. But it happens every time.

Yeah my confirmation email has minimal pictures and is mostly just text. My order probably went through at peak traffic
 
If I buy an iPhone X on another line, I can simply swap out the sim correct? Does it have to be activated frist with the other number?

I have the same question! I ordered the X on my brothers line but the plan to use it on my line.

Just call Verizon when you activate the new phone so a rep handles it properly. I have done this in the past and using the website sometimes results in neither line working.

Who wants to place bets that the people with 2-3 week delivery windows get theirs early?
 
Anyone have inconsistencies with what color they ordered showing properly? I ordered the silver and my pre-order confirmation email indicates as such, but the actual order confirmation email says space gray. In the end I don't care too much as it will go in a case but it would be nice if it was silver.
 
So I preordered and opted to trade in my paid off 6s plus for the 300 dollar credit, and I also had 20 device dollars in my account. I don’t think either of these were applied yet. Do those show up later? I haven’t even gotten an email about getting the box to send back your current phone from Verizon or anything. Im new to Verizon and this is the first time I’m upgrading so I dunno how this all works

They'll mail you a box with a prepaid label. Credits will begin once they receive and test the phone following the activation of your new phone.
 
it defaulted to my debit card and I am not taking any chances that making any changes might screw up or cause an issue with my order.
Basically same happened here (but it hit a bank account that I keep almost empty and transfer funds into as needed) instead of the AmEx. The only solution is to cancel your order and place a new one.. and get at the end of the line for a December delivery. I'll just transfer funds into my account and pay for it from there instead of extending my wait! :p
 
So any idea what happens when you get 2 orders on the same line? I was able to get a Silver 64GB X a few minutes early with the Verizon app. I didn't think the order went through for some reason (app was being glitchy) so I placed another order and I did get a bugged out order complete screen.

I checked the orders section a few minutes ago and it now says I have 2 orders pending, both with a delivery date of 3 November. Anyone been in a similar situation like this before?

YES! This happened to me. I ordered a few minutes early using the app (but somehow ended up on Verizon's website thru the app) and it glitched out. So I went online and tried another order - that one went thru... but now I show 2 orders pending - both with Nov. 3. I'm afraid to cancel one in case one is a mistake... I'm going to wait a bit and call Verizon to figure it out.
