Carrier The Verizon iPhone X Pre-Order and Dispatch Thread

So I ordered two and have email confirmations for 11/3 but when I go onto the Verizon app, the language they use says “estimated to ship around 11/3”. I’m assuming this is just them covering their ass? Anyone else have the same?

Anyone know if changing the shipping address on my order will affect my ship date? I don't want to lose my 11/3 date but I am living on a college campus instead of at home. Verizon wouldn't let me change my address during checkout. Not the biggest deal, because I can get the phone shipped to me from home once it arrives, but obviously I'd like to get the phone as soon as possible!

People on here told me Verizon would have to cancel your order and then re-order which would push your date back further.

So was all this a big hype or what? No way this many of us are getting them on 11-3 when only 3 million was available to 55 countries? I think someone was wrong somewhere.

We absolutely will. Verizon is on point with their stock. The other guys dropped the ball HARD. Especially Apple.

And I’m defense to Verizon, about 20 min after they gates opened it got pushed back to about 2 weeks.

So it’s all legit. This happens every year my friend. Verizon users get iPhones first.

Still not getting confirmation email, preoeder still showing as pending after I did it via Verizon mobile app 10 mins after midnight. I called couple times, they all told me the order is in the system there's nothing to worry about, could be due to lots of people pre-ordering slow down the system, but people around me all received their emails and solid delivery dates using the same ordering method around the same time. Mine still showing estimate 11/3 delivery date. They reassured me I won't lose my spot in the line, as soon as the system catches up I will get those confirmations.

I'm starting to think the delay could be from me selecting replace existing phone rather than a new phone when I pre-ordered. I still owe $11 dollars on my current phone which I purchased on an amazing deal earlier this week. At the time of the purchase I wanted to pay off but Verizon requires me to finance for at least a month in order to get that deal, that's why I put down the maximum down payment allows and financed $11 for 24 month lol. But in the grand total of the iPhone X they did include this $11 and will charge me for that along with the iPhone when it gets shipped out. That's the only reason I can think of why mine is being delayed. Any thoughts? Following is whats showing on Verizons website.

Where do you see that they waive the restocking fee when ordering online? This is what I see on my screenshot.

Go to the iPhone X (or any phone) page on Verion. While my invoice looks the same as yours, this is what I see now and when I ordered (see note about restocking at the bottom):

Update: I spoke to a Verizon rep and she says that even tho I show two different order numbers (and actually two different phone colors), she thinks one order is just for the SIM card (?!?) So we both decided to leave it alone and if I end up with two phones, no biggie. The do waive the 35 restocking fee as long as you don't open the box.

I assure you, its fine. Verizon's system always does this with preorders. It will arrive on 11/3.

Does Verizon allow you to change the shipping address after the order? The site would not allow to change it while ordering.

This has happened to me before, i have spoken to verizon rep and they told me that for them on their site Ship means delivery date.

I think they put ship by 11/3 is because they wont know what day before 11/3 they will be shipping the phone. But in few words, we should be getting the phone on launch day.

Ordered thru VWZ app. For me it went live at 2:57AM ET. Got my confirmation at exactly 3:00AM! Got a silver 256gb with 11/3 delivery! I tried using the Apple app but it didn’t go live for me until about 6 minutes after preorders opened up.

Verizon really had it together this year, 2 screens and I was done! Very excited about this phone can’t wait until we all start playing with them! Good luck everyone!

I'm currently part of the Verizon 24gbXXL plan. The new verizon Beyond Unlimited data plan is for $27 more (I have 4 lines). Do you guys think it's worth switching over? I'm not sure if the throttling issues affect the 24gb plan. I always feel like I have unlimited with the carry over data. Also I'm not enrolled in auto pay. Will I get the same discount or is that only for unlimited?

Woke up at 3:03 a.m. and tried to order through the Apple app and it was offline. Went to the website and the same thing. Kept trying until 3:20 and I couldn’t get in, so I went back to sleep. I didn’t want to wake up my partner and get on the MacBook Pro.

In the end, I ordered via a Verizon phone rep at 9 a.m. Unfortunately, the delivery date is 11/15 for a Silver X 64gb. I did get the upgrade fee waived so I was happy about that.

I can't agree more. Totally shocked that Verizon's systems worked so well.

I had two ordered 5 min before go live and it felt great. So great in fact that I ordered one more, just for good measure!
