Carrier The Verizon iPhone X Pre-Order and Dispatch Thread

I'm currently part of the Verizon 24gbXXL plan. The new verizon Beyond Unlimited data plan is for $27 more (I have 4 lines). Do you guys think it's worth switching over? I'm not sure if the throttling issues affect the 24gb plan. I always feel like I have unlimited with the carry over data. Also I'm not enrolled in auto pay. Will I get the same discount or is that only for unlimited?

Your discount, if you have one, will go away because it's not allowed on the unlimited plans. So for me, similar to you, I have the "More Everything 20GB" plan with 4 lines, my cost would go up considerably if I switched to the Unlimited plan.

Plus all the caveats with the Unlimited plans.....NO THANKS....

I can't agree more. Totally shocked that Verizon's systems worked so well.

I had two ordered 5 min before go live and it felt great. So great in fact that I ordered one more, just for good measure!

On a different line? Is it possible to order another one on the same line?

Yup I receive a 20% employee discount currently and the beyond unlimited costs $27 more even with auto pay/paperless billing discounts. Benefits I'm seeing with Unlimited is that they offer you deals such as the $300 trade in. But after reading up on it more I kind of like not being throttled at 15gb. Thanks for the answer!

Your better bet is to wait until the phone has shipped and immediately have the package re-routed through your carrier rep, who would do this through FedEx/UPS

you can use the order number or the preorder number. Either can get different results.

The order number and last name said my order was canceled, logging into my account and calling VZW says its still good.

thats a good sign. talked to verizon rep late last night about that. it means they did a preauth check. i was concerned because normally its a $1.00 charge. you'll get your phone 11/3

Update: I spoke to a Verizon rep and she says that even tho I show two different order numbers (and actually two different phone colors), she thinks one order is just for the SIM card (?!?) So we both decided to leave it alone and if I end up with two phones, no biggie. The do waive the 35 restocking fee as long as you don't open the box.

It's 2 phones Verizon ships with sim's Pre installed now

I signed up for a postpaid account yesterday, just to get the iPhone (I live overseas, and will pick it up on my next trip back).

I ordered a 256 GB direct through Apple, and have a 3 November delivery date.

Does anyone know what will happen if I cancel the postpaid plan before the phone ships? Will Apple cancel the order? I’d like to get out at least one of the $30 activation, and $30 upgrade fees if possible.
