+1 to this exact same scenario fixing about 80% of the battery drain issue for me..+1 for anecdotal unpairing and re-pairing helping return things to normal: I got my iPhone 15 Pro a few days ago, and after migrating my watch to the new phone, which appears to effectively be a re-pairing, battery life appears to be much improved.
Wow this is just weird - after deleting my offline music from my Ultra 1 and rebooting it, the battery seems like its back to WatchOS 9 days - at least a ton better.Deleted all downloaded music, rebooted and today has been the best battery day since WatchOS 10
Have you contacted Apple to explain what you have noticed with music ?Glad you were in the same boat as me. But now we need to find a way to get our music back. I really need it 😫 As soon as I put it back on, everything goes back to waste.
I still don't get the feeling Apple knows there is a a big problem, so my hopes for a fix in the next update are low.
Just wondering, the music you deleted, is it Apple Music or just local music (like me)? I want to narrow the problem down as much as possible.
Mine was offline playlists from Apple Music - still don’t quite know if it was those that made the difference but only change I made and a huge boost back into the batteryGlad you were in the same boat as me. That looks like a good candidate for a wipe and re-pair.Look at my ruler-straight AWU battery discharge over the span of a bit over 12 hours. No workouts, no cell, little usage…
That's what I did. Actually, I just unpaired/re-paired. So far so good, but that's nothing I'd seen before…That looks like a good candidate for a wipe and re-pair.
coming from 6 cellular where I got 40-50 hours, bought U2 for better speakers and figured out for 3 years cost is about 65 cents daily. With 10/1 new U2 72-84 hours Always on off. just got 72 hours with Always on on. Being 84 I like the complications and have several Modular Ultra faces with different complications I can quickly swipe to. The health and fall alerts are good to have. Tracking my walking mileage, Afib, sleep, etc. Since the speakers are better, receiving calls are better, with the 6, I had to call back with iPhone. I imagine keeping it for 3-5 years but who knows what Apple will come with next. I don't think they will make anything larger maybe new sensors. My Ultra is down to 38% at 20 hours. I used to get 2.5 to 3 days!!
Yes, please.I'll post when I find out what they said/did.
She took it to the service center. They said the battery is fine with 85% capacity. We already knew that. Now they've unpaired it and sent it off to some other repair center where it will languish for two weeks. My wife is very upset to have to do without her watch for that long. I don't blame her.My wife has a series 6 that had very adequate battery life before the OS10 update. Now it's down to zero before the day ends. She has only one watch face with complications which she has used since day one. One is the current date and the other is heart rate. She added the Snoopy watch face, but has since deleted it.
Fortunately, she bought Apple Care for this watch which is still in effect. She will take it to the local (Korat, Thailand) contract service center this week. I'll post when I find out what they said/did.
