If it was cheating why hasn't he been fined or punished? Some may say it was dirty, but as for cheating? Nothing I have read states that it's cheating. As I said before- it's brilliant- he earned his team a few more runs.

It was a supposed to be a humorous comment, hence the smiley and the word cheating in " ".

I'd like to see the bullpen get some more work. With the starters going into the seventh and eight innings, they haven't really been tested over a stretch. Papelbon needs to get in there and keep that shoulder strong. He'll be crucial to any post season success. With Wakefield, you live by the knuckleball and you die by it.When it's fluttering and dancing,he's almost unhittable. When it's not,it's batting practice. Schilling's start will be big too.He needs to get on a roll going into the All Star break. He had a horrible second half last year. I say two out of three Sox.With the loss going to Wakefield..

Its muggy and breezy - sound just right for Wake.
Thick moving air, make that ball just DANCE, like A-Rod explaining to his wife what he was doing in Toronto

So is it mandatory that you have to be blind to be an ump.

So game 1 goes to the Yankees, and Wakefield pitches a gem.:p

Wakefield doesn't usually pitch well against the Yankees. Oh well.

The two aces are going next :D

Looks like Baltimore is coming to life. The AL east is not dead yet.

This just in..Police were called to the Red Sox clubhouse after a lifeless body was found. Upon further examination by paramedics,it was determined to be that of JD Drew, who promptly asked what all the fuss was about..Story to follow….

Show some friggin signs of life will ya..

****ing Wily Mo Strikeout is starting today. Ugh. Pedroia is gonna be batting 2nd though. :D

**Cough**

No bucky effing dent this year.

When has fox anything been right about anything?

Remember last year, when a certain yankee team swept a certain red sox team in a 5 game series, and erased a 9.5 game deficit (IIRC) to win the division ;)
mark my words, something will happen, Youkilis will cool down, as will beckett, Matsuzaka won't have an ERA under 5, and schilling will probably get injured. Division is still winable.

Thats a ton of things that have to all work out perfectly for you guys to even have a shot. The sox have a chance to win it if they lose one starter, losing two they still look great... Sure Youk may cool down, but Pappi and Manny haven't even begin to come around yet.

Sorry- I see the jaws of defeat closing in that division.

Yankee's fans need to stop living in the past:rolleyes: .This isn't 06,05,03,78 etc.No different than Sox fans still feasting off 04. All Yankee's fans seem to be doing is hypothesizing about how the Sox will collapse and lose it.Will Youk cool off? Sure, but Manny and Ortiz haven't even started hitting yet.Dice K's era will go up and Schilling will do a stint on the DL.Your point is?The Sox have too much depth at pitching to sustain a long losing streak. How about Yankee's fans pointing out what's wrong with the Yankees? You got Giambi out at least a couple months. You think Damon goes a full year on that shoulder? The team blew their wad on a soon to be 45 year old mercenary who's a six inning pitcher at best. And didn't have the balls to play him this weekend. Love he quietly slips into the rotation on Monday..Worry about the holes on the Yankees..You got one or two more than the Sox ;) The one thing that does worry me about the Sox having a big lead,is getting comfortable/complacent..Then you stop doing the things that got you that big lead..

Giambi is done for the year.

I don't think Youk is going to cool down too much. He's always been a great batter, taking a lot of pitches. Now he's swinging more at the good pitches and putting them into play. He probably won't stay above .350 for the whole year, but I doubt he'll go below .310 or so.

And Manny is finally heating up. Ortiz is due to start hitting some long balls, he hasn't hit one in 61 at-bats.

WOO BACK TO BACK HRS LOWELL AND TEK

games tied 5-5 now and mussina is out

Pedroia is on fire, batting about .330 now.

The sox really need to get rid of Wily Mo, liability in the field and a liability at the plate unless he gets a straight fast ball. Kind of reminds me of Cerrano from Major League.

I think Lowell's just going to take the Yankees out one by one. :D

Jeter two errors in one inning- he sure as hell didn't deserve a gold glove last year... I guess how many errors you get doesn't matter.
