Man, I can't believe I missed this thread until now.

Been a Red Sox fan for 30+ years, kind of lost the daily updates and all when I lived in Cali, but have been back on the East Coast since 2003 and been following ever since.

Managed to go to game 3 (uggh, Yankees 19-8) and game 4 (YAHOO, Sox 6-4) of the 2004 ALCS.
That was sweet.

As for this season, it looks like the Yankees are going to have a hard time unless they can get some pitching, and I don't think Clemens will count.

He has been out of the AL too long and was in a pretty poor NL division.

Moose looked "soft" last night. Just like it was not quite there yet, a few more starts and he should be doing better.

Tonight, Schilling vs. Pettite - I give the edge to the Red Sox - as do the statistics (see attached from MLB.com)

It will depend on which pitcher gets off to the better start tonight.

More then not if a lot of runs are given up it is the pitcher not controlling as opposed to fielding errors.

I can't see Torre or Cashman getting the axe at this point in the season. Who's out there to replace Torre anyhow?Besides,I'm wondering if George can still find the Easter eggs he hides?? He's starting to look like the Al Davis of the MLB..There comes a time when you have to look in the mirror and ask yourself if it's time.....

oh well. we still lead by 9.5 games and lead the season series 6 games to 3. :p

The season is far from over.

The Yankees are starting to ignite Hughes will be back and a rumor of Clemans pitching his first game at Fenway.

Any Red Sox fan that counts out the Yankees and is comfortable with a 9.5 game lead in May is a fool. The Yankees have too much talent to not make a race out of it.

Are there any concerns in Boston about Schilling's performance last night.
