With every other preorder in previous years, if you stayed up until 12:01 and ordered within 5-8 minutes, you were guaranteed to get your toy on launch day. This year, it was a total disaster.

Mad beyond belief.

It's a phone. Relaxxman

I spent more time waiting for the freaking store to go live in the app than I did placing my order. Not even kidding, 45 seconds or less. Tap, tap, tap, tap, authenticate Apple Pay, DONE.
Same here

It seemed to be about the same for me this year. I didn't get the app store to load until about 3:05 (EST) and received an email @ 3:09 saying my order is being processed. + 128gb matte.. Kind of wish I went with 256 now.. I'm sure I'll be good with 128 though.

Placed a second order for my wife's 7 128gb matte and got the email @ 3:19 that my order is being processed.

Both say Delivery 9/16. I paid full price for both.. Gosh I miss At&t 2 year contract price and didn't want to do next.

No complaints. The 6 release was worst for me.

It was bad for me too. I ended up ordering through ATT's site to get the order to complete. Though at least it was on time.

I decided it wasn't worth it to get up at 2am local and mess up my sleep since I work today for the preorder. I gambled, and now my order estimate is the 23rd for the matte black 128GB model.

You obviously didn't preorder an AW. Many of those models sold out before they went on sale. Seems Apple is just copying that lame sales model again, but at least you aren't waiting over a month like I did for my AW which was preordered 4 min after the store opened.

It's my first time doing the pre-order deal and honestly I was expecting to have issues where I end up not bothering. Instead, I found this to be an extremely easy process and was done in a few minutes.

You problem is you wanted jet black which it looks like is hard to get. My black 256 Plus order went right though for the 16th. Not a order problem, it is an inventory problem.

Easy for me, only problem is I somehow ordered 2 instead of 1 but the dude on live chat managed to change it for me.

Well, each pre-order event seems to have the same complaints. This is my first in years and aside from apple's and Verizon's sites not launching when they should have, it was easy.

Wasn't for me, I now have 3 phones on order when i only wnat the one!

Can't cancel the other two yet won't let me

Me too! I have 3 phones on order as well. This was the worst pre-order process I've ever done and I've done a lot of iPhone pre-orders.

ATT really screwed it up for a lot of people, if you pre-ordered the 6S when it went live last year they are making you wait until the 21st to even pre-order!!! I guess it won't be a pre-order by then... With shipping times already well into November for jet black, I can't even imagine how many months we'll have to wait by the 21st!! Makes me want to just tell ATT to go **** themselves and switch to T-Mobil

I have a launch day 6s with AT&T and had no problems pre-ordering (except that I waited until this morning, so my ship date is in October :( ). I checked my eligibility last night, and it told me that I had to make one more payment on my Next plan, so I did. Good to go this morning.

Every year someone who can't get what they want cries about it. And lots of other people have no issues whatsoever. App Store app makes it easy peasy.

The only thing that screwed me this year was, for some reason, I couldn't change where I was shipping my phone. I have AT&T Next and preordered thru Apple Store via iPhone App. It had to be shipped to my parents house in FL (billing address), and slipped to 3-4 weeks. Ugh.

I saw that when trying to order from the Store App on my phone. I then went to the AT&T app and was able to change address when I ordered. I got a ship date of Sept. 23-30 for my 256GB Matte Black 7+.

Fully agreed. The store didn't come up for me until :09 or :10 - 2 minutes later, even after being told initially I would get my phone on launch, I now have to wait a month.

Apple's standard of customer service has depreciated so much over the past few years. This is just another example.

Except the Apple Store app didn't start working for most people until several minutes after 12:01...... so no.

Wow really?? I'm gonna chat with Apple right now and see if I can ship it to my house. I was gonna order it from AT&T too, but I was stuck in their queue for awhile and i got the order done faster on the Apple Store app.

Was flawless for me like always.....But I prep well every year, make sure the App Store is the only store running in the background and not have a bunch of my electronics on my Wifi. Might not do anything but I have been getting Day 1 shipping since the 5 so in my head it does something.

Easiest reservation I've made. Especially with the iPhone Upgrade Program, it was all done in just a few clicks.
