I was on, ordered, and off to bed in a few minutes. Very easy ordering. Thank you Apple.

This is the easiest one for me. I got into Apple Store app the moment it's back online and placed the order from my Favorite using Apple Pay. The whole process took less than 30 seconds.

Not to rude but it was painless for me. Set my alarm at 12:01am. Login to my Apple App via iPhone. Go to My Favorite, click Pay via Apple Pay. Rest my finger on home button, done. Back to sleep on or before 12:03.

I did two in less than 30 minutes. Only reason it took that long was the CC was declined for suspicious activity the 2nd time and I had to redo it.

All of my preorders were a mess....as long as I ordered through my carrier. As soon as I got smart enough to preorder directly from apple..around the 5 or 5s, things have been a cakewalk. Including this one. Ordered through the app. 2 256 GB phones one in black and one in rose gold. Ordered 5 and 7 minutes after. Deliver on launch day - like every other pre-order through apple.

Wow really?? I'm gonna chat with Apple right now and see if I can ship it to my house. I was gonna order it from AT&T too, but I was stuck in their queue for awhile and i got the order done faster on the Apple Store app.

Yes, really! AT&T lets you change where you want to have the phone shipped. That is the only reason I went through AT&T rather than Apple.

Especially with the iPhone Upgrade Program, it was all done in just a few clicks.

For those of us in the UK (and China) wanting to join the iPhone Upgrade Programme, what was the process for your upgrade?

Did you use the Apple Store app, decide which model, then simply select to upgrade?

We weren't able to use the app the join the iUP today (website only).

This was actually better than the past 2 cycles. My first attempt gave me a "we could not contact your carrier" message. But the 2nd attempt went through w/o incident. Sept 16 Delivery.

I did order the Verizon 7 plus 256GB in Silver.

I do this every single year and I can definitely say this was not among the worst. The store didn't come up until 8-10 min after midnight, but once it did the Apple Store app worked. Had to do several refreshes to clear error messages, which is usual.

Well now I know for next year lol. And I thought Apple was gonna be more convenient.

This happens every year and then we get people with October date getting them release date. Just calm down

Horrible. Kept getting the "store down" page until about 3:15-3:20 EDT

Finally ordered the jet black, 128gb, 7plus for AT&T from my favorites but got a delivery of Oct 18-31.

If you look in the "similar Threads" section at the bottom of this page you will see that pretty much every launch has been considered the worst launch ever by someone.

Personally, I get a kick out of the "if I can't get it launch day I don't want it at all" crowd. That one boggles my mind. I get that people are excited for launch day (hell, I always am) but really? There is only a 24 hour window where this product is appealing to you? Wow. I try to preorder every year and I've been screwed by the website/ servers/ internet connection before. It sucks. But I'll still take the next available delivery date. I want the new iPhone. I don't have to be the first guy with the new iPhone. Different strokes I guess.

I can't edit my address online and I've been on hold for 45 minutes. Are they really not allowing you to change it on the phone either!?

"Horrible" and "Worst" are such relative words.

Some of us bought an iPhone on day 1 and had to spend an entire weekend trying to activate it in iTunes, like with a cord, like a weirdo. Ah 2007. Literally went cell phoneless for like 4 days. Times have changed and definitely for the better.

Have no complaints with my preorder. I was able to connect to a T-Mobile customer sales rep within minutes. I ordered IPhone 7 plus 128gb Jet Black. Although disappointed by the shipping date: between 09/27/2016 and 10/24/2016.

Getting on via the Apple Store app took longer than in the past, around 12:05 PDT.

They ****ed up your address? It's a computer, it only does what you tell it to.

Not when the F**F*F*FF*F* address is greyed out and you can't change it so you assume you'll be able to call in the morning to have it modified. Its a human error, someone who defined logistics.

Ordered on 3:18 eastern and got my 128GB jet black iPhone 7 ATT on 9/16, I feel you if you didn't get yours on time, but this pre ordering process was easy for me....
