Im dying to know if you got a Samsung panel. I have a GVC Air and it looks dingy compared to my G9P Samsung in my 15 pro.

Im on the fence about playing the screen lottery. This grainy look on white screens is driving me nuts.
It’s def a Samsung and I wouldn’t be surprised if it’s also a G9N like my 17 Pro. It looks virtually identical in every angle. That said I don’t want to feed my obsession so I don’t want to look up the panel model for my sanity. But yea they’re out there!

Update: curiosity got the best of me and I looked. My Air has a G9Q Samsung panel. Looks as good as the G9N of my 17 Pro, so they're out there!

If helpful, it's an iPhone Air Light Gold 256GB bought in Apple Grand Central in NYC.

To be honest, I can’t comprehend why you prefer Samsung panels that usually have a pink tint when viewed directly, while LG ones appear perfectly fine except when tilted.

The problem is I bet majority of people didn't even notice about this until they found out this post/ reddit

That’s great, congrats! I think I prefer my original 17PM with the GH3 screen. The vertical off axis shift is worse than this new GVC screen but uniformity is perfect. I notice slight unevenness with this one. Will give it the weekend and decide which one to keep Monday.

On my third 17 Pro Max 512 GB blue, third one with GH3 screen.

The panel was washed out, green tint, and triggered PWM sensitivity on set up. This is becoming really frustrating. I feel so wasteful, but I can’t physically look at this panel without feeling sick.

I am writing this from my 14 pro G9N and no issues. No PWM issues at all.

Got a GVC on my black 256GB Air in the US. I guessed it from first glance, but I can't say the panel is bad at all. Uniformity and overall accuracy seems fine. Maybe an eeever so slight green shift, if any. The only thing noticeably worse than my G9P 14 Pro is lower brightness when off-angle, but I only noticed this after putting on a screen protector (same brand, maybe different kind). I really don't know if it's worth pulling the lever until I got a nice samsung panel.
Update on this. My GVC display is honestly perfectly fine outside of grain in low light. It's quite distracting though so I think it may be a deal breaker. I am probably going to return it.

I had the 16 Pro Max Black last year with GVC Panel which looked ok to me.
This year I got the blue 17 Pro Max 512GB and it has a G3H Panel. In my eyes it looks better than last years GVC when I compare them side by side.

I really can`t complain.
