Genuinely curious, what has you guys making the move to Pixel's as primary? I've got a S8 as my secondary, and think I'm going to upgrade it to the Note 9 but keep it as secondary, or switch it to my work phone. Not sure yet.
A couple of things.

First off it's a decent looking phone and the camera is flush with the housing. Second, since it's Google making it the phone will come with pure Android. There won't be any carrier garbage, any manufacturer apps, etc. One thing I do credit Apple with is preventing the carriers from adulterating iOS. I had that experience with my last phone (before iPhone) with a Sprint branded HTC Touch Pro.

And it will be unlocked. I don't plan on leaving T-Mobile, but it's nice to have unlocked phones.

Like most things, You adjust. I owned the SE and I was Rather fast at typing. Although, I use dictation quite regularly. But I do appreciate the wider keyboard for the larger model iPhones.
I still haven’t adjusted to the smaller keyboard on my iPhone X coming from using the 7 plus and all the previous plus model iPhones. 7 months in and I’m still getting lots of errors. The keys are too small.

I used to think that for me the plus model is too big to be used comfortably when I’m out and about. But last year took the plunge anyway and now I use it all day everyday without much pain. I’ve just changed the way I used my phone. Other than a few one handed operations, it works fine for me mostly.

Now I’m not sure if I’ll like a non plus model to type on.

There really is a difference and I can’t wait for the X plus this year. Luckily I’m on a yearly upgrade program with o2 so I can upgrade this year to the X plus.

Once you go big you struggle to go back.

I have an 8+. I wasn’t going to upgrade last year from my 7+, but decided to in case all the phones that come out this fall are Face ID. I really like my Touch ID and am not sure I want to give that up.

That said, I’m prepared to hold on to my 8+, but I’d also be willing to make the switch if there were other things about the new X or X+ that just bowled me over.

Bottom line - I’ll have to wait and see.

I felt like I got a really good deal on the X with Verizon last week so I will be sticking with the X. I got a trade in of 499 off the X with device payments. So basically it will cost around 600 which I think is a great deal. The payments are annoying because you can't pay off early though.

I'm coming from the note 8 and I love the size of the X. I went ahead with this phone because I knew in fall the phones would be even bigger. Phones are getting too big for my tiny hands. I will probably keep it for 2-3 years before upgrading. But I am looking to get a new iPad in the fall.

I just picked up the Product(Red) 8 and went on the iPhone Upgrade Program so I'm not gonna be able to get the next model. I'm happy though, sometimes I wish I'd gotten the X but $35/mo vs $50/mo is a big difference.

Not sure to be honest. I'm on the iPhone upgrade programme but feel relatively content with my X. I might just pay the rest off the remaining balance and be done with it.

I always preferred the width of the iPhone Plus keyboards, which is one of the reasons I look forward to the 6.5 iPhone X Plus, is the wider keyboard allegedly.

I'm wondering what kind of demand for the X+.

The 6.1" is kind of an odd placement. I haven't been following the threads, but I haven't seen much buzz for this yet. Then again, there may be.

I feel like my iPhone 6 plus is on it's last legs... in terms of usability, everything jut runs too damn slow now, definitely getting a new phone

I currently have an X and am wondering to get an X plus. My brother wants to buy my X, so an X plus makes sense. I got the Note 8 earlier this year, returned it though, but loved the big screen.

Love the iPhone X’s size but I still don’t feel the screen is big enough. Depends on price. If the X plus is the same price as the X now, then I will get it.

Most of the options on this poll are related to buying a new phone. I am happy with my 8 plus and will most likely keep it until something new and interesting comes along. I am getting bored with upgrades to the same old same old.

That’s one of the things about the X. The 8/8+ were essentially a 7S. Glass back not withstanding, the form factor was nearly identical to the previous three generations, so I can understand your sentiment.

The X was a big departure, though. I upgrade every year (and have since the original iPhone), and have to admit I enjoyed having something ‘new’ feeling when moving from my 7+ to the X.

Really looking forward to a X+ (or whatever it’s going to be called) this September.

...is the X Plus rumoured to be bigger than the iPhone 8 Plus?

I like the size of the X but feel the 8 Plus is a little too big (its fine in the hand but not at all pocket friendly!) so I'm banking on the X Plus being bigger than the current X but smaller than the 8 Plus.

It’s difficult to say exactly, as we don’t have the exact specifications. Assumingly, it will be more narrow versus the width of the current iPhone 8+. So essentially it would make it easier to handle one-handed. But I doubt the iPhone 6.5 X Plus will be all that ‘Pocket friendly’, not just because of its size, but also because of the weight if it utilizes the stainless steel bands, and of course the all glass design.

The X really did not interest me. The design with the rounded steel border reminds me of the original iPhone. Not my taste. I will wait for something new.

If someone likes the X design then it's a good fit. I am sure it's a great phone. The bezel free design is not a big deal for me.

Yet again, the "new" phones will be upgrades to the SAME phone design. It may be bigger, maybe add some improvements, maybe a new color or two, but essentially the same ol same ol.

I don’t think your phone is going to make you a toast and tea in bed any time soon. ‍♂️

Agreed. Not looking for a magic pill. I just find the current smartphones to be variations of the same thing. Maybe a folding phone would be useful. Maybe something along the lines of better voice recognition. Maybe something that could respond to motions or expressions. I don't know there are a lot of things companies could do to innovate. Samsung has the round screen, some like it some don't. Apple came out with the bezel free design some like it some don't.

Ill keep making my own toast and tea while I wait for something interesting to come along. In other words the 8 plus I have now should keep me going for a the foreseeable future, unless Apple deems it obsolete.

I’m sure Apple, Google and Microsoft are working on a lot of things right now for the future. The issue is that generally Apple doesn’t like to release / announce half baked potatoes, erm... spare the AirPads and HomePods.

Although I’ve heard rumours of a foldable screen phone coming out of the LG labs but as we all know Apple doesn’t get worried about tech like this much because it really depends on practical usability.

As technology has improved, bringing us devices that are closer and closer to, essentially, a slab of glass with all interface and nothing ‘extra’ to get in the way, there will necessarily be less and less to differentiate one model from the next on a strictly external/physical basis.

What sorts of things would make a phone different enough to interest you, but not be extra, unneeded cruft?
