Thanks to Tim Cook for standing up to tyranny. No, you can't deport 250 Apple employees!

if Trump gets his way yeah 'you' can. frankly I side with Tim on this. It's one thing if you are talking about adults who willingly and knowingly broke the law, but many of these 'dreamers' were brought here against their choice as young kids. is it morally fair to punish them for something they had little to no knowledge of. many of them might even have believed they were legal residents.

Sorry Timothy

I'll say this right at the onset: Tim Cook needs to give his left liberal political pandering since November 2016 a bloody effing break. I'm an immigrant from India myself, I currently work for Apple from Germany, I have family in the USA, and before Tim blindly starts defending Dreamers, he needs to read this: https://cis.org/Mortensen/DACA-Gran...mitting-Crimes-While-Abandoning-Their-Victims.

I support some of President Trump's policies and I believe that DACA should be reformulated from the ground up instead of being nullified.

Having said that, Tim Cook of late hasn't ceased downright disgusting me. We get it that Tim is a die-hard Hillary Clinton fan but he just can't seem to be able to keep his head out of politics.

KKK, Nazis, white supremacsists are vile, demented creatures—there's no defending ANYTHING they stand for. But where are Cook's Twitter condemnations and fundraising against rabidly hateful and intolerant leftist groups like Antifa, who (quite literally!) burn down every single free speech rally at college campuses without a single consequence?

What happens to his voice when Islamists openly urge for a Jewish genocide in America in the name of "freeing Palestine"?!

Where is this coward when cop-killing BLM groups conduct riots, vandalize local businesses, loot, destroy for months in a row during the 2-term presidency of a black man!?

In which hole in the ground does Tim Cook hide when rabid feminists take the stage—physically or on mainstream media—and demand the systematic suffering of men, especially white males in America?

As a brown man that has seen plenty of these pseudoliberals in my own country, there's nothing worse than a duplicitous, hypocritical COWARD with connections to influence, and tons of cash to spend toward their own agenda.

Tim, take your private jet and come see the state of Germany after it took in 3 million undocumented immigrants. Roam around Düsseldorf for a while, then take a flight to Paris and then drop in at Rome after that. Maybe what you will witness will help you SHUT your mouth and have you consider focusing on your goddam job again.
Hillarous post. I've met many immigrants who feel that the buck stops at them, just because they were lucky to have a relative whis a citizen and brings all his family and their cousins over they are better than dreamers and border crossers and other 'lesser people', and they feel the urge to kiss up to 'the real Americans' (read: descendants of immigrants) thinking that by this they earn their acceptance. Well guess what? You won't.

Those crying to kick out dreamers and close borders to refugees are only working their way to the Legal's; hate knows no limit, just read what happened in Kansas to the poor Indian guy who got shot to death in a bar. No, he wasn't seikh or mistaken for a Muslim, it was because he's Indian.

#250 Apple employees
They employ 2 million people in America alone (according to a Macrumors article I read a few weeks ago) so he's using his company to influence policy that effects 0.01% of his work force? This clearly isn't a policy that effects Apple that much, so the huge issue here is that a corporation is trying to use their money and popularity to influence public policy. I think we should get big business out of politics, don't you?

No, it effects Apple AND everyone else in society. If even one person is being needlessly let down by political bigotry, everyone, regardless of being a CEO or not, should be saying something about it.

Are you serious? Like do you honestly not have a clue about world history or something? There is a distinct difference between moving into an unsettled & ungoverned land and sneaking into an established country with laws and government.

Says the white guy ready to kill the natives in this "unsettled $ ungoverned" land.

If you look from the perspective of the Native Americans, the uncivilized $ unsettled people were the white folks.

Every one will agree that the civilization that has settled in this land before the white barbarians arrived was self governed, and most definitely had no need for the white guy to come and kill them, put them in camps, discriminate them, and take their land and way of life away from them.

Nice. 250 new jobs for real American citizens. A lot of immigrants actually go through the long(and $$$$) process of legally becoming citizens. People like Tim have no problem slapping those people in the face.

Decisions have consequences. Your parents shouldn't have used you a bargaining chip in their efforts to steal a U.S citizenship.

Let me tell you liberals how this will be resolved. The turd that Obama left behind will be rescinded by Trump. He will defer action pending immigration reform at which time the turd will revert to D senators where it squarely belongs. If they do not vote for immigration reform the "Dreamers" (illegal immigrants) will be deported as and when they are picked up by law enforcement in the normal course of law enforcement.

Lobby your D senators to vote for immigration reform. Yes I know illegals mostly vote for D in non ID states, but tough. Get over it, one way or the other.

Surprising that America has 800,000 of these young people covered by DACA. Almost a million illegal immigrant children living within its borders.

Ya know, that's a lot of potential jobs being taken away from Americans by DACA. It gives these people a waiver to work as if they were legal. So ya know.. I can see Trumps point about wanting to get rid of it, it would open up many positions for American legal citizens and he has to serve those people.

For sure I feel bad for these young people being dragged to America by their parents and having to live the life of an illegal immigrant but that's life. On the bright side they have had access to some American education and can take that back to their own countries (I'm assuming most of them are from Mexico).

American citizens come before dreamers. If they want jobs here, they need to be naturalized. I Support President Trump

Which is exactly why Trump and his daughter get all their stuff manufactured in 3rd world countries....oh wait...

Isn't part of leadership leading by example...... oh wait I see what he is doing, by staying so often at his own properties and charging the government for the costs of having all the entourage there with him, not only does this employ low wage Mexican staff, but it allows Donald to make himself personally richer at the tax payers expense. Putin probably taught him that trick.

I think that Trump’s political focus should be on finding a solution to the North Korea problem instead of this right wing showmanship.
