I would gladly pay the same price to have that camera setup in the smaller size.
The comments in this post.......this place has gotten completely ridiculous. Another 50 comment pages of dumpster fire. Sometimes I wish we could just delete the Internet and start over.

Didn't anyone's mother tell them "if you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say anything at all?" Sheesh, everyone is beyond rude to one another! It can't be healthy, can't we all just be friends?
Because smart phone camera lenses don't have adjustable apertures and have to always be shot wide open ( maximum aperture ), in bright light ISO settings can be very low and shutter speeds very high. I have seen EXIF data from my iphone 6 over 1/4,000th of a second. Here is a production shot from this past Winter that is 1/3,000th of a second @ ISO 32, F2.2, you might be able to pull the EXIF data, you might not.
I just joined recently, love the platform but people just need to learn how to be nice to one another...

I still think the internet should be "read only" by the great unwashed. Always gives me a giggle when forums refer to themselves, somewhat optimistically, as "communities" ... L_O_L! Real communities form close, personal bonds and intimate friendships and look out for one another, something this sterile, insular attempt at approximating that can NEVER do.

And the best camera ever? Is the one you have with you. So kudos to apple and every other smartphone manufacturer for trying to create the best camera experience they can in a smartphone form factor.

Civil, yes, but a random spattering of strangers that just so happen to have the same curiosities as me ARE NOT going to become "my friends" any more than I'd expect all the people in the supermarket to be "my friends", just because they also happen to be in the same place.

Yeah, psychiatrist who fish for referrals and steady business maybe.
As soon as you take photos in harsh mid-day sun you're guaranteed to produce photos that are waaay too contrasty, and for me, not very interesting. And there's little you can do in post to compensate.
But then, sport photos do little for me anyway. I like making photographs with my phone that are a little more artsy...

Shot on an iPhone 7+, sent to (and ruined, and forwarded by) a Nokia N95.
I don't think anyone can make any judgements until we get some native resolution samples. These down samples I hope are not representative of the true quality. It is also possible that someone on SI.com processed them some, or the display on my iPad Pro is messing with them a bit... But to me they look like someone used an unsharpmask filter on some of them. Like the first one, the people in the stands are obviously out of focus, but there is a hard outline around individuals that looks very unnatural.
Overall the look decent for a phone, but they don't blow me away. Like I said, I'll reserve judgement for full-res samples.

Since you don't own a 7+, I am not sure how you feel able to qualify absolutes.
