Model S price will not come down. Did any of the luxury models in the $70k-$100k range come down in price over time. No. They did not. What needs to happen is that Tesla has to introduce more models at various price points. They are already planning on that. Model 3 will start at $35k.
That's what I meant, actually. I know a 100K car is not going to come down in price much. They need a car that is competitive with the other current electric cars on the market.

I don't get this? Does Apple not include iPhone with battery?
It was a failed attempt at a joke. The joke would've worked more if he was referring to accessories or something, but it probably still wouldn't have been funny.

I'm pleased about the car , but Apple also needs to plough money into A.I and virtual reality. Otherwise they will fall behind other companies

no doubt it'll come in 3 flavours: 50mph - $20999 80mph - $25999 120mph - $30999
It should 16, 32, 64 and 128

Will it come in 16, 32 or 64 hour battery models?

Will ANYTHING be user replaceable?
Nope, not even tires! If you put any other third party tires, on next software update, the whole car will be disabled and you have to tow it to the nearest Apple Auto Genius Center!

if they are working on the iPhone 7 they can't work on OS X

Granted, Apple isn't going to pull a dozen OS software engineers off of OS X in order to work on suspension design, but your particular example here is a bad one. In one of Apple's keynotes they admitted that OS X would be late because they pulled engineers off of it to work on iOS.

Also, these activities divide the attention of the people at the top. If Tim Cook is involved with the car, he's less involved with something else.

No matter though as the Apple Car is one Apple product concept that completely bores me. There are already so many great car options Apple isn't filling a void that it has with past products.

1. You haven't even seen the Apple Concept Car. Maybe you won't like it, but at the moment it's a little early to be judgmental.

2. People thought there were plenty of great phone options before Apple ever made an iPhone. In fact, a lot of those "great" options went away once everyone saw what Apple was doing.

Macrumors in 10 years:

Remember Apple had that terrible period several years after Jobs died? They tried making a car, a TV series featuring Dr Dre, they bought Beats, they totally fragmented their product lineup, their software was obsolete at launch.

If you're a shareholder, be prepared for a rough ride down to the $80s. I've been saying it for months: Apple is extremely vulnerable right now.

2019 or 2020? Good. Please first focus on fixing the software and hardware on your computers, phones, and watches before venturing and expanding out more than you can afford to

Still not enough. Maybe 2025 might be better. Let's get a Snow Leopard again for 10.12/13
[doublepost=1456533193][/doublepost]Will the Apple Car only come with 1 year warranty too? Will we need Apple Care to get phone support for our car past the 90 days? Will the Apple Store in the mall fix my car? Will Apple offer Apple Care+ for accidental drops? Will there be a student discount like with Macs? Will the Apple Car qualify as an item for BTS promotion to get Apple Music free for one year in our car? Will Apple Care stream photos and videos to iCloud as I drive to take in the scenery?

If what I've read is true, the Model 3 will start at $35k BEFORE any EV tax breaks (some of the tax breaks have an upper limit, so only the early purchasers of the Model 3 will get to take advantage of them--once the money allocated to the tax break is gone, it's gone...unless it gets re-funded). That will bring the price well below $30k for some buyers.

That's the good news.

Many of the cooler features, like autonomous parking and driving, will be expensive add-ons. And most likely it won't be free to use the SuperChargers with the Model 3. When you hook your Model 3 up to the SuperCharger, it will automatically charge your credit card for the amount of electricity. This will be more expensive than charging at home, but most likely less than buying the equivalent amount of gasoline. Some have suggested that lifetime free access to the SuperChargers will be an option you can buy for $4000.

Hi Tim! Even though your iOS and OS X are very glitchy, I just want to let you know that I will trust your glitchy car to take me places because I know your cars will lead me to death. I applaud for your effort. While I'm at it...I want to thank you for Apple map that takes me 25 min further away from my destination. I also want to comment on Apple symbol. Instead of bitten off Apple symbol you should replace it with bitten car symbol!
I know your cars will have defects and will announce repair problem 4 years later.

Get back to computers!

Autonomous vehicles with buggy software and incomplete implementation.
