Apple fans at their worst......lets insult people and call them OCD....Because we believe the, in order us to win...somebody has got to lose crap.

Might as well grab some popcorn, sit back, and watch the show.

Six pages of threads to address one nutboy. Must be very fulfilling to an OCD sufferer living in mom's basement.

Got any more insults....you can give....that reflect you're own life?

I got the popcorn popping.

Heaven forbid people express their opinions on a public forum...

And then we have the "holier than thou" fans.

It seems that the right bottom corner is a little bit yellow. It is very easy to prove. Just bring up the keyboard and compare the keys and background at two sides. Please let us know your discovery.

Holy crap! This is what I don't get...
The guy says he is happy. Who the hell are you to challenge his contentment?

Why don't you just have the guy post a pic of his wife. Then you can let him know if he should be satisfied with her or not.

OP: Being that all those different iPads from all those different places looked bad to you in a similar way makes me think that you should have your vision examined.

I see 52 down votes as I make this reply, the picture clearly shows that his portion of the screen is very pink, I doubt anyone would find that acceptable. This forum is infested with people who badly need purchase justification.

The picture in the OP is MILDLY pink, not "very" pink.

OP is correct. The third-gen iPad currently has issues with pink/yellow tint on a large number of screens. People who claim theirs is perfect are either lucky (I'm sure there are plenty of good screens out there, if you got one..yay), OR, they're just not able to see the difference. It's not OCD, folks...when my iPad is propped up next to my MBP it's got a ridiculous pink shade. I'm sorry but that just sucks, and screaming and crying that everyone is being OCD won't change the facts. I'm returning mine because the whole point of upgrading was to get the nice screen, so a pinky screen that looks terrible next my MBP is obviously not good.

Yeah, but I have a screen just like that. When my iPad is docked on my desk next to the MBP the "mild" contrast suddenly becomes verrry noticeable.

what about it? are you posting it to show the left/right color shift from green to pink, or to show that it's perfect?

I copied 2 squares of the image from the far right side and dragged them straight across, all the way left...

Image

You took from the right bottom and placed it at the left top, as you see the screen on top left and top right are the same as well as bottom right and bottom left this is because it is impossible to take a picture straight to the screen. The screen IS perfect, not that I case what you believe.

Note that I didn't say everyone with a perfect screen has to prove it. All I'm saying is, if you want to call me OCD or some other name, post a photo of your perfect screen so I can have a chance to call you blind. Fair is fair.
There's zero point trying to discern even colour tint issues by analysing pictures of screens. Automatic white balance on most cameras will not necessarily show a representative picture of what the eye sees. There could be a colour cast in the picture that is not present in real life, or vice versa. As far as I am concerned, you are barking up the wrong tree anyway if you think the majority of screens have issues.

Guess you don't read the news much. Macrumors forums are regularly and consistently sourced in the press when a problem arises with an Apple product. And generally Apple responds quickly when a negative story makes it to press.

Barely noticeable to YOU. DEAL WITH THAT.

I'd love to see your face when your green shirt comes back from the dry cleaner with 1 pink sleeve. BARELY NOTICEABLE!

Yeah I don't read much. Once again explain to me how a message board post is going to make your screen better.

Don't like your screen? Get your money back and move on. Nobody forced you you to buy it or is making you krrp it.

Stop this **** threads, just enjoy your iPad

People here are always try to find problems lol, o never check for light bleed or this **** problems, people here are always complaining about everything lol

Mg iPad is perfect, i just to want to enjoy them, not always find ridiculous problems lol

Sorry friend, you, and so many others here are quite mistaken. I took 2 squares, one from the URL bar, and one from white area just below it, copied them and SHIFT DRAGGED them, constrained to a straight line, directly ACROSS the screen. Don't believe me? Try it yourself.

My iPad is perfect to my eyes.

That being said, if you look for issues and defects in a product, you will find them. Thats what too many people here do with the silly "test your screen by using this grey wallpaper" threads and the like.

Its LCD/LED technology, you'll never get perfectly even illumination/color. That I assumed was common sense.

If you dont have any issues with your screen why even bother check out the topic if it only frustrate you at the end of the day, people with good screens belittle others and call them OCD with out any proof, they also claim that their screens are 'perfect' but cannot post any pictures so that we can establish a point of reference on what is perfect, Im 100% sure those who label others OCD see the very same issue on their screens, prove me wrong!

People who are content don't need the approval of some anonymous stranger on the Internet to validate their contentment.

The thing is that tilting the screen changes the white balance, this is NORMAL with this type of display, it does not mean it is defective nor it has yellow or pink marks.

Correct, they dont need approval from others but it also does not give them any right to belittle others or call them OCD, if they had the very same screen issues Im sure they would also ask for an exchange. Point is, there are a number of perfectly contented people with their screens but they are also vocal enough to be rude and aggressive, if they want people to settle down from this issue then posting pictures of a perfectly great screen is proof enough that there is a good out out there, like what sea dragon has done, perfect example of someone having a good screen and able to prove it.

Sure its fine to claim a perfect screen but when you add insults and ocd comments to your reply that already means something else and again I assure you those people also have the very same issue on their screens but just want to defend the product, its their choice to justify the purchase.

There's nothing to prove. I have a pink tint when my screen in on full 100% brightness and dark while looking from the lower left corner at an extreme angle. But guess what, under normal viewing conditions my screen in outstanding. No issues whatsoever. I don't see pink or green while reading at any angle. So I don't really understand how that particular issue makes the screen defective. I think it's a normal issue. There's no way I would waste my time going though several iPads to find one without it. And I have a 64gb 4g. So I spent a load of money and feel like my product delivers. And I wouldn't settle if I didn't think it was right.

That's great for you, awesome, marv, congrats. But MY screen does exactly what you're describing, at NORMAL straight on viewing angles in NORMAL room lighting. Ok? No one is saying YOUR screen is defective, but for the love of god, please stop trying to tell me mine is not.

The original post does not require any extreme angle setup, you might be confusing some other thread with this one. Its a straight up normal usage. If you find a pink tint on a portion of a screen to be acceptable then I question your standards of quality or visual acuity.

Fine. Your screen is not okay. You win this argument. Happy?
