I really don't like conspiracy theories, but why have 6 pluses been coming slowly but surely all week, now Saturday in Los Angeles there is practically nothing for personal pickup. My guess is since they know people more easily stand in line today that's what they are pushing. So people can say wow the iPhone is that population. I'm getting tired of Apple, They've got one more week for me to fine a 6+ or I'm returning my 6 and waiting for the Note 4.

Oh course when my eligibility resets there hasn't been any sg in the Austin area. And istocknow says San Antonio has it, got to check out and it's unavailable. Anyone having luck with att 128 sg yesterday or today for in store pickup?

I tried calling att about my eligibility but they're still clueless. Going to try again on Monday

The thing that pisses me off about this whole ordeal is that Apple did not allow us sane people to purchase an iPhone 6/6+ at full price online and pick up at the store.

I just spent half my day driving to two Apple stores that allegedly had iPhone 6s only to be told that they do not have what I am looking for. Fock you Apple!!!

So here was my experience, hopefully this helps. I too have been trying way too hard to find and in store pickup option for 64gb 6+ device only and decided against frantically hunting one down and buying it before someone else does, that and the risk of signing up and canceling in store to buy device only.

I decided that I'd get up early and get down to the Apple Store this morning, even though I did not get any istocknow alerts the night before. Got there at 7:30AM, was first in line and picked up the phone I wanted, a silver 64gb 6+ for AT&T. Got my reservation and picked it up when they opened. I got there before 5-6 scalpers and was stoked to be first in line as they worried about which phone(s) I would buy. I won.

Point of the story is that even though the Apple Store never showed stock for pickup during this whole timeframe, I was able to get what I wanted. Maybe worth a shot if you can sacrifice three hours in the morning and get there first.

I went to my local Apple Store this morning. Got in line behind the scalpers ☺️ and was unsuccessful.

I just signed up for email alerts on Istocknow. Then reserved at the store and picked up easily. Why would you go wait in line?

Got a 64gb plus Verizon today. Got the email while I was sleeping and reserved when I woke up. No fuss.

Where are you located? Where I am, in Northern CA, it is very much a fuss to try and do the in store pickup. They're gone 10 minutes after the alerts go out.

When I picked mine up in line at the store in Austin, iStockNow and the Apple Store both said "unavailable for pick-up". So just go wait in line.

Yes apple has p!$$ed me off for the last time. I too tried buying a 6 plus full price and picking it up in store, but ofcourse can't do it since I'm contract free. You can't even see if the phone you wont is at a store, because since "Apple" employees are too busy to answer our calls they are being routed to a call center which has no clue whether a store has inventory for walk ins only to purchase and pick up. Screw you Apple, I decided to return my 6 and I'm going to wait for the Note 4. Between the Scalpers,"BendGate",inventory shortages, and rude employees whom have their favorite line ,"well sir its just a very popular phone", chuckle. Uh BS, Tmobile only sells two places Tmobile and Apple and have pretty much been out of stock since day one Tmobile didn't even sale phones in store. At&t and Verizon had the largest amount of Preorders so why do they have Pluses showing up every once and awhile. Someone's playing games and I'm done being a player...

The Apple store pick up is only for people to pay and pick up. That inventory does not reflect if their is inventory for walk ins. So walkin inventory and personal pick up inventory are two separate inventories. I've been to a store that stated it was available and they would not sell to me because the inventories didn't intermingle. So it could say " available for pick up today" for days, which I clearly saw for the one I wanted and they will not sell it to you.

Philadelphia. East coast got a bunch yesterday. I was quick this morning I guess. No more now.

Not good.

Well, I went to the Apple store where I tried to purchase online last night. I was taking a chance because my order did not go through. I was fortunate to get my iPhone 6+ 64 SG. It worked out and I may go back tomorrow to get the wife her iPhone 6. Apple did confirm that they will give me $200 for the iPhone 5 trade in.

So basically Apple is telling people who have money and can pay full price to go F themselves.

Go stand in line and if you get lucky you can get an iPhone. You are not as important a customer as those who want to buy a subsidized iPhone.

What a bizarre way to do business!!!

My local apple store was great yesterday (raleigh, nc). I wanted a 6+ 64 SG and they showed in stock when I went to check out it said I had an issue with my line. Called customer service they couldn't fix the issue and said I had to go to the store. I live an hour away and knew there is no way I would make it in time to get one. I called the store explained my situation they checked there stock and had one left and held it for me! I was so thankful and enjoying my 6+!

There were none available online. There are numerous reports where there are none available online for personal pickup but they get in line and get one. I was in line for 5 minutes until the rep told me so it's not a big deal. My local Apple store (Lehigh Valley just an hour north of Philly) year after year has very low stock. I think it gets sold out quickly because it's centered in a fairly populated area and is the only Apple Store for an hour or more in any direction. There needs to be another one somewhere around here. Oh well, I'll get on eventually. My 5s works flawlessly.

Did you pay full price or bought on contract? If you want to pay full price the Apple website does not allow you to. I want to pay full price and I just have to stand in line and if I am lucky, I will get an iPhone.

When I got my iPhone 5 October 30 2012 I had the option to pay full price and pick up at the store. Apple did not allow it this time.

I just find it odd that if you have money up front and you can pay full price, you have to try your luck at the store. But if you do not have money up front and must buy subsidized then you can reserve your phone online and are guaranteed a phone to pick up at the store.

Aside from this being a bad business practice, it also speaks volumes about how impoverished US society has become.

The phone companies make their money on the subsidized phones. So it's no surprise that's what is being pushed the most, and what's easiest to buy. They would rather you buy the 6/6+ at contract price than full price, because they won't make money off of you at full price.

apple wont let you pay buy full price online or over the phone

So true, everyone always says Apple has control over carriers but in this instance I would say its the carriers who are in charge. And I know people are going to say stop whining or this is a first world problem but its still not right. I know some might say well if you can offered to pay full price just pay a little more and buy one off Craigslist or eBay, which I would but I just don't trust either vendor very much. I mean in Los Angeles I've seen 6+'s going for about 850-900 which is not bad for a 16gb. But what about if it has defects I cant purchase apple care without a receipt or what if the person bought it on a contract and they stop paying in a few months, can you say big paper weight.

In the US we so have things backwards. I recently went to a local diner and and went to pay with my debit card and they said they didn't take debit or credit and asked what the machine was for and they said EBT, are you kidding me you value EBT more than hard earned money.

How won't they make money, where do they think we plan to use these phones? In all actuality we are paying the subsidized price and about 5 month's worth of service by buying it full price, then we are paying the carrier to use their network. So in half a year they would have made more money off me than someone with a subsidy.
