Well I'm going to Palo Alto to pick up.
But again, way too easy, but I have an order number and my cc charged so I have to see tomorrow if it's true.but why wait 2 days in line if you can get it the day after release?

You should get two emails. One letting you know that you placed an order, and a second one later one saying something along the lines of "Congratulations, your order is ready to be picked up" If you see that second email, you have a phone waiting for you at the store. :)

I'm a premier member and wanting to cancel a preorder with att via the website. Does anyone else know how long it takes to process the cancellation via the web site? I clicked cancel button and got an email asking me to confirm. I'm just worried it has to be manually reviewed or there will be a delay and it will cause me to not be able to reserve with apple at the 2 year contract upgrade price.

There's no appointment time. You just go there anytime that is convenient for you. i suggest evening. You can even go on Sunday to not be stuck in a longer line. But there will be two lines. One for pre-orders and one for regular people waiting in line. A line of about 10 people WILL take you about 45 minutes to get your turn to go in. Once you're in the pick up is really quick and easy. Just give them your email with the squared bar code, they will scan it. You will sign their phone, check your ID, and you're good to go. :)
 
Just ordered a 6+ 64 GB SG for pick up at the Mall of America store.
Seems like the availability update may occur at 2 am PST.
Good luck everyone! I cancelled my AT&T "premier" order earlier tonight. 5 minutes after I cancelled, I checked my upgrade status and it was good to go.
 
Bleh, I'm considering canceling my 16gb Plus order just now. I was a little giddy but really don't think I can make 16gb work :(
 
I'm really wishing I didn't have sprint tonight. Apple can't find my account and I can't find a work around to pickup in store. Guess my only hope is that they don't sell out by 10 am :(

I canceled via website through an AT&T chat CSR, and my cancelation and upgrade eligibility was changed almost immediately.

Mine took minutes, I highly recommend canceling your order. And ordering for pick up in store.

I'm waiting on my congrats email but I'm guessing I may get that when they open?


Also I had preordered one through att next, but was a late October shipment. I haven't canceled to be safe but can I cancel my preorder tomorrow and get to the store and ask to enroll into next?
I also had to add a second phone to my line just so that the order would go through? Will they not sell to me tomorrow when they realize I was trying to scam the system? Should I show them my droid?
 
If it says unavailable on the site right now at a particular store, is there no way I have a shot at walking in when they open and getting one? (referring to 64gb T-Mobile 6 Plus)

You get in the pre-order line. There will be about 2-3 apple employees outside the door, they will gladly guide you to the pre-order sign. (It's the shorter line lol) You should try ordering the case online as well for pick up tomorrow. But if you do need to buy it in store, they''ll gladly add that to your purchase if it's available. :)

They cannot do NEXT at an Apple Store.

How do you know the update may occur at 2am? I am still hoping for some availability in my area...

You should cancel your previous order. It seems like everyone else's order got cancelled and processed almost immediately.

Thanks. I may wait on the case and order it online or check walmart/target if they're selling them yet. Need something inexpensive and I usually don't see that at the apple store. I'll look around online, though.
 
Finally was able to pull the trigger here in Vegas on the 64Gb 6 for Tmobile. I am overjoyed! Can't wait to slide in my AT&T SIM.
