iPhone 16 Pro Max Touch issues with 16 Pro / Pro Max display

18.0.1 has just been released. For those that still have their devices, kindly tell us if the problem has been fixed. My phone is in its box reset and ready for return but not picked up yet.

I think that issue is solved , but I would like to hear other opinions too

Maybe its not yet perfect , I dont know , but definetly feels a lot better at least to me.

So its not me . I am not imaginig.
But i keep on missing letters a bit , I am used to 15 pro max , and this keyboard is diferent
 
Nope it’s not your imagination. I knew right off the bat they didn’t fix it when I was typing in my passcode and it didn’t register touches.
 
Yeah . But it could be a bit smoother perhaps , dont know

No maybe you are right , the phones is flying now , faster than I can I type , and I can type ...... oooooohhhhhhhb yeah.

It is ok I think , I wont say 100%, at least not for a few days . But I think that its solved as issue . Could they make it even better I dont know . But this is good

These touch screen issues have apparently been a broader issue… Apple Watches 9, 10 and U2 have had unresponsive behaviour too. Didn’t know.

You were right all along @romanson about it being SW issue it looks like!

About ultra , I have ultra 1 , and from day one , touch screen is off , it has ghost touches , so , yeah ...

When I just bought apple watch ultra , if I would try to unlock it while on charger , I would type code and the watche would delete it by it self ....
Never knew why .....
Balme on screen protectors , blamed on apple , but at the end it was all good never knew how
 
It’s fixed for me. But I didn’t have any touch sensitivity issues, only the dead spot next to the camera control. I also don’t use a screen protector or case (16PM).
 
So its a software issue and now we are all good , all but those few who had no luck and had a hardware issue , beyond software reapir.
So its all done is it ?
Still have a little but of delay when I pres fast delete button , on keyboard , so yeah . It could be improved more but its ok , is it
 
Updated to 18.0.1 - keyboard still isn't as smooth as it was on my 15 PM, noticing it in WhatsApp. Not sure if the issue is limited to certain apps. I don't have my 15 PM as I sold it and cannot return my 16 PM as all Apple Stores are backordered for weeks including online stores. If this is hardware related, Apple must replace the defective iPhones. Horrendous.
 
It may be app specific issues, I recently updated Discord and it's been lagging, like if you scroll, it'll freeze etc. Other apps aren't affected, at least the ones I have.
