iPhone 16 Pro Max Touch issues with 16 Pro / Pro Max display

I take back what I said, after working well for three hours I started to see the keyboard lag again. Still not as bad as the first pro max, but definitely not as good as the base iPhone 16. WTF Apple. I will return this again before the two weeks is up if this gets worse. SOME people here attested that they dont have touch screen issues at all with their pro max so I will keep looking until I find one that works as it should. Or maybe I should just settle for the iPhone 16 Plus for my second phone.

Yeah you are rotaly right , like when pressing backspace its kinda slower or something.
Me personaly , I dont belive in thise hardware issues , i think its related somehow or to thiny bezels or to camera button on a side so , that is what I think , but me personaly also think that tis can be made eaven better with how quick screen reacts to my touch

Not in my case. I'm still having issues typing. It's just off still. Sometimes hitting the space bar or the backspace key don't register. It makes the whole typing experience less fluid and fragmented. I hate this.

I’ve done some thorough testing and things seem okay. Typing is fine and space bars are fine no matter where I’m touching the screen with my palm or thumb.
Apps seem to be loading faster as well, and there doesn’t seem to be any lag

But do you feel there is a difference after the update?
 
Yeah there are still issues , mostly on backspace letters , but its better , and that means that it is software issue

There is a still present issue , the letters are laggy , and the backspace is a bit less responsive....
Also , space bar and some other stuff are still laggy , but all and alll its better , way better than it was

It solved the issue for thank god.
 
The lag is still present and more noticable on viber and whatsapp....

My 14PM screen sensitivity would rate 10/10. My 16PM screen sensitivity before 18.0.1 3/10, after the 18.0.1 update, 6/10. I can still tap icons without any response, but it’s a little better after the update. We need to still flood apple with these issues. I’m also using the belkin screen protector installed by apple. If I didn’t trade in my wife’s 13PM I would have returned this POS
 
Let menout it this way , i would not call it that way , POS , no wayyyyy
And I would rate its sensitivity to 7 out of 10

I don't think Apple will ever address this issue ever again. In their mind the issue is fixed. I'm still having persistent problems with the touchscreen and its sensitivity. Typing is still an uncomfortable experience. Many strokes still get ignored. The screen is simply not as sensitive as previous models. I don't know what they did to the screens but I think it's a hardware problem that they tried to circumvent with a software fix hence the partial improvement after the update. My return window closes on October 7th. I'm gonna have to do some serious thinking whether I should keep a hobbled device and live with it or return it and start the gamble all over again.

Yeah , i see what are you saying , but I perosnaly think that they didnt eaven pay that much attention to this issue , so its like , they will fix the issue , but now in this update

Respect for your opinion , just pay attention to this.
Viber typing is lesa sensitive
Whatsapp is even less sensitive
I messages and web are 9/10
The issue letters remain
Space bar , back space , m , l , n , b , p
