Any update on how the hydrogel protector is doing?

Also does it covers the camera?

Thanks
It did cover the camera but no issues. It's holding up fine though I am admittedly not a fan of the plastic-y feel so have been contemplating just going without a screen protector. But the touch sensitive is significantly better than it was with tempered glass

Thank you very much!

I was concerned about the camera as I use LK hydrogel protectors for my Apple Watch and they have a slight orange peel effect. It’s only apparent when looking up close.

My situation with idrogel and glass protection: first better than second
Lose always touch, often on wapp and instagram, where the arrow back is a little.
I am very tired of situation.
Change phone, change screen, i trust that the problem is hardware.. a lot of some ip16pro max and pro are with problem.
Stop
Very disappointed

I am so disappointed with Apple, in relation to its software problems, how late they are, now the problem of lost touches, that I will give a couple of months to my iPhone 16 Pro Max, and if there are no changes with the updates, I will migrate to a Google Pixel 9 XL, or the 10 if it comes out soon or a Samsung S25 ultra. All my life I was an Android user, from the beginning. I had all the Samsungs until the S21 Ultra, but I didn't like their update policy, so I migrated to the iPhone 13 Pro Max, it was wonderful!!!, but now, I'm very, very disappointed, especially because the phone is super expensive too (iPhone 16 PM).

I think it's a software problem. With iOS 18.2, touch or software slowness issues have decreased.
I have an s23 ultra and compared to my old iPhone it has always been much smoother. I'm also disappointed with Apple because of the software issues. I don't think that replacing iPhones obsessively doesn't make sense, I'm sure it's software problems.

That's what I thought with my two 15 Pro Maxes that had touch issues...and guess what, the one remaining 15 Pro Max that I still have still doesn't work properly after 1.5 years of software updates....

16 Pro Max is smooth as butter though.

Also, I would really suggest anyone who has this problem and is using a screen protector to ditch the screen protector and see if the problem resolves.

Do you use a screen protector?

On the other hand, it seems that we are the only ones talking about the subject 🤣 because on YouTube there is nothing, only some old videos from 2 or 3 months ago... but they mainly talk about the problem that there was when touching the camera button. It seems to me that the average user does not notice the occasional touch problems.
That’s quite typical of macrumors: here you could usually find some very sounding small groups complaining about an issue not reported elsewhere. It happened several times in the past.
Due to touch issue, My 16 PM replaced under Apple care plus Express replacement 4 time, yesterday received 4th with November build, so far all is well but too early to confirm.
On a side note Apple should not permit four returns, to avoid “serial returners”. After the third one, a full refund and a letter: we are sorry but we cannot provide you a product according to your standards.
Everyone is paying for those 4 returns, in a way or another.

You can change in the first 30days how many phone u want is a policy.
My case it changed only one, second time, change screen/
The touch issue is a real thing and many phone 16 pro max have problem.

Have you noticed that Samsungs are much more responsive and sensitive to touch? Compared to the iPhone 14 pro max and 16 pro that I own. I compared them to an s23 ultra

At the time of the 4th replacement, I asked for refund or credit note and Apple representative told me, try this time & if you are facing same issue, we will do the needful, by the way I have Apple Care plus from day one & whenever they ask me to visit Apple Store for the diagnosis, I refused & asked for the express replacement.

Still I don’t know issue was from software or hardware but this November build is flow less, received on 17th & as of today, not a single time I faced touch issue.

So, do u have touch issue as well?

I’m not ashamed to say I did 5 returns. Matter of fact, the associate in store said I could return it as many times as I have issues with it. But the associate I talked to didn’t acknowledge there is an issue. I usually notice in the first 2 days if a phone has issues or not, and I can say the one I’m using now (September battery) has minimal touch issues.
Which is odd, because the first phone I had was also September built and it would freeze up, I had to press 3 times or more to get it to register a touch. I had these same issues with October built as well.
I’m thankful for this forum and reading other experiences, because no one on YouTube is mentioning this issue

Hey,

I have a 16 Pro Max with October battery build date and I have no touch issues. Screen is a Samsung G9N.

Hello
Nothing people mentioning it, because the touch issue not is always, but it happens few time, and it is impossible to show it.

I will quote from someone from Reddit:

„For those wondering how to check your display manufacturer... You can run sysdiagnose on your phone (press volume up, volume down, and lock button) all together for around a second. You will feel the phone vibrate. Wait a couple of minutes and then go to Settings -> Privacy and Security -> Analytics and Improvements -> Analytics Data. You will then scroll down and look for a file titled: sysdiagnose_XXXXXXXX You will click on that file and then click the arrow in the upper right hand corner and scroll down and click "Save to Files" Once it is saved you will go into your files and click the file to unpack it. Within the folder that is unpacked you will click on the folder "ioreg" and then click the file "IODeviceTree". You will then use the magnifying search glass in the bottom right hand corner to search "raw-panel". It will then give you a serial number. I have an LG display which has the beginning letters of GVC.“

G9N and G9P is Samsung
GHC & GVC is LG

I just did it. My screen is G9P, I imagine that corresponds to Samsung... I have very occasional losing touches on the upper edges of the screen, on the arrows to go back, but only in some third-party applications. And some occasional lags on the keyboard... Samsung is not supposed to have the problems and LG is?
