I updated. The sensitivity from 18.0 until now 18.3, has been improving a lot. I have almost no problem, but... I use it without a screen protector. In a week I get the hydrogel ones, and there I will see the behavior.

Wow, let us know!!! I got back in touch with the executive assistant of Apple USA, she called me today. She asked for the invoice, and there’s a possibility of a refund. It’s not guaranteed due to the time that has passed (a little over 3 months), but since I contacted the executive team, they’ve given me “special treatment.” If they refund the money, I don’t know what to do—cross my fingers and go for a 16 Pro Max again, or play it safe with a 15 Pro Max. (I used to have the 13 Pro Max). Or Samsung S25 Ultra, hahaha, I'm really confused.

I have tried, and found the same behaviour with a screen protector.

I want to thank you all for keeping this thread alive. I'm facing the same problems on a launch day 16 pro max.

Today, after learning about the newly released S25 Ultra, I really want to switch to Samsung. Where I live is Samsung's home country, so Samsung phones are much cheaper than Apple. Really frustrated with the 16 pro max. The only thing stopping me from doing that is because the Apple ecosystem is binding me. My wife's and children's iPhones and iPads, Apple TV, Airpods... are the things stopping me from doing that, not the iPhone 16 pro max.

Does your wife also have the 16 pro Max?

If Apple refund me the money, I'm seriously thinking about buying a 15 Pro Max and saving me 300 dollars. I think this device (16 PM) is still in "beta". But I'm waiting for @MagneticResonance 's experience
I dont think newer devices have this issue. It seems to me that only the earliest ones were affected. I’m right on the cusp with October 2024 battery manufactured, but even my phone has no touch issues.

I have this problem , When I want to go to Instagram stories, sometimes the touch doesn't work. My phone battery manufacture is in November. I think the camera button still interferes because when my hand is not on the camera button or around it, the touch works without any problems, only when the mode My hand is near the camera button or on it, the touch around it has problems

Sounds like a hit-job ad from Samsung.. joining the day of the Samsung event… using all the key-words like “apple eco-system” and rattling off a bunch of devices as the reason you are “locked in” and can’t switch…

LOL. I've been here since page 45 and discussing with everyone since then. Personally, I've been using Apple devices for many years now. and have never been as disappointed as I am now. It's just sharing, no tricks here.
