What Trump said, “hundreds,” means multiples of 100

Hundredths means multiple of .01

In a sense, he’s not COMPLETELY wrong. At apple’s 52w high, its share price was almost double what it was when Trump was inaugurated.

Then again, we’re very far from the 52w high so he’s spewing “fake news”. His favourite kind of news.

He’s completely wrong. Stock was up about 20% when he made the statement. And at no time since he’s been president has the stock been up “hundreds” of percent unless he’s comparing to the price when Bush left office.

Great two cents little Richard! Obama will give you a resistance cookie.

Liberals cant accept that reality isn't what they said it would be under Trump Administration, 2 years in (and with no self awareness or even acknowledgment of a reputation thats been irreparably tarnished by repeated lies and hysteria, sound familiar?), and all the pictures they painted of doomsday from all angles so they have to be certain of an unverifiable, hypothetical future and intensity the hysteria there too... desperate and predictable

because we haven't gotten nuked, 2 years In, they say "it's definitely coming soon"

I'm left with so much to argue there arent I? Your unfounded conjecture of certainties playing out in the future without evidence, but all emotion

Also, by the way, can you apologize for your creepy behavior and posting the same crap to filibuster and silence my comments across five different pol subject threads, all of which were unrelated to the topic you kept bringing up and I won't back down from any of the times that you do? 0 for 5,

And can you commit to not doing that anymore?

Therefore, when you do it again, it will be actually be considered harassment

...Do you think thats MacRumors contributor-like behavior you should be exhibiting? Leading by example? Don't think I've forgotten that one all of a sudden. Just because the unrelated subject blows your mind, and is something you are personally obsessed with in a seemingly unhealthy way, doesn't give you the right to act creepily and de-rail the conversation 100% of the time. Thanks! Like I said, I know you're hard up for attention, from the same person over the same off topic subject, but you'll have to look elsewhere to be entertained.

If you’re citing the fact that we haven’t all died in a nuclear conflagration as Trump’s crowning achievement, then that’s pretty sad.

(And, FYI, I don’t know what you think it means to have “contributor” under your name, but all it actually takes is a $25 contribution to the site.)

Thanks for clarifying. Donating is good! Thought you were actually part of staff / contributing articles and I was gonna sheesh they keep people on staff that repeatedly de rail threads without providing evidence why the subject they are personally
Obsessed with is off base? It’s a really bad look in any case, just not for the site whatsoever knowing that, which doesn’t deploy
Censorship tactics and allows discourse against the wishes of many lefties on this board that want all trump supporters permanently banned (thank you MR for not Caving !), it’s ALL on you.

You got something against transgender people? You think it’s beyond believable pepppe get sex changes? That makes you the bigot. That’s the thing your party accuses others of that which they do. That’s why their imagination is as vivid as it is with the accusations. It’s because it hits home. fradulent ‘morals.’

Carry on with your screeching but I’ve told you what you hone in on across 5 unrelated subject threads (and won’t EVER back down from, because your mob mentality attempts are absolutely disgusting and spineless which I’ve repeatedly pointed out and you cowardly
Say “im just pointing it out”)
is creepy not to mention off topic so when you continue to do it ill cite posts here as well.

And yes, when people say we’re getting nuked today, for sure, because of mean tweets and the dust is settled and we haven’t, That’s an accomplishment. Come on little
richard! I guarantee you we’re part
Of the hysteria over the Little Kim tweets. When the left makes up a catastrophic reality and it turns out to be false, that can be deemed a win. And that can tangibly tarnish the reputation of a party that says falsehoods all the time
With conviction. Especially
Meeting with Kim when Obama warned trump going into his presidency NK is the biggest threat we face. He settled that one rather quick and swiftly. And no other president could. Not even king Lord God like Obama who is never at fault for anything, and never farts in private

Only hate let’s you live in constant denial. It’s pretty common though. We see that unravel all the time. Just cut out the creepiness is all I ask. Wrestle with yourself over disbelief that people who get sex changes exist. Let it
Go and let them live their life according to how they want to. It’s none of your concern, others lifestyles, to let that just consume you over the span of 5 unrelated threads. Especially when it hasn’t even come up in conversation From anyone else.

Couldn't read the rest of your nonsense post because the justification is now "liberals are staunchly pro war... because Commander and Chief didn't get advice from the pentagon!"

LO friggin L. Epic! Thats what troubles you! I'm literally cracking up.. if only this weren't reality for so many, it would be that much funnier.

Classical liberals are rolling in their graves. Their party has been completely taken over by disillusioned pro-war communists who stand for less than nothing except orange man bad. imagine the praise if Obama withdrew our troops from Syria. There would be parades in the streets.

Have a nice weekend

I really, really, really need to stop replying to drivel when I'm quoted and just let it pass. I cant help myself sometimes though. People have lost it on a level I cant even comprehend anymore and I feel sometimes inclined to want to engage. Not sure why though, its ugly as hell!

I know I say things that are controversial and partisan and 'fascist like,' like war sucks, triggering a lot of angry followup quotes, but geeeez. I am not surprised the left is pro war because the left is out of arguments, so they turned to hysteria, and they're out of that too, so they turn to violence.

Round of applause

What exactly is nonsense with the rest of my post? After all that's what we are here to do, have a discussion on X, so again what exactly did I say that is nonsense? Also nothing in what I said even remotely claimed liberals are pro war. The issue is that surprising your own military and allies that you are pulling out of a conflict zone via a tweet is not generally considered normal behavior. There is a reason a President has advisors, so they can actually advise and given Trump's complete lack of actual experience, regardless of his past claims, it's ignorant to do it the way he did. That is what the issue that liberals had. Nothing has been expressed by liberals that they are pro war all the sudden. You really need to work on your reading comprehension.

Wasn't that the concern? That we would absolutely be nuked? That with Cheetoh at the helm, nuclear war was 100% going down? And the mean tweets were going to set that off? ...All the hysteria? You guys have the absolute worst memory for your own outrage. Thats why its hard to take any subsequent outrage seriously. You won't remember it in a few days, or you'll say 'so what,' even though you came up with it, so whats the point in taking it seriously in the first place?

So let me get this straight. Trump makes hostile, threatening remarks about Kim, leading to a confrontation that could end in nuclear war. The confrontation that Trump himself created does not lead to nuclear war and that is considered a crowning achievement. Okay, I got it.

Meanwhile, his one-on-one "I don't have to prepare," "we get along well" diplomacy has not achieved anything substantive. Kim's vague promises are no different from what he's said many times in the past.

No, of course I have no problem with transgender people. Which is why I object when someone like you tries to use it as an insult against someone who is obviously, to any rational person, not transgendered.

I haven’t brought it up any time recently. That's a fact. That is the truth. There is no counter 'your’ truth is you have. I haven't. Find it. Link me a post where I've brought it up ANY TIME recently, that isn't just replying to your off topic gibberish. I am encouraging you to prove me wrong. Not sure what else I can do, to stand behind my statement but that. And in the past I've taken it even further, and said if I am being bigoted or hateful, I encourage the mods to ban me even though I would very much not want that, after being here for over a decade and still enjoying being a member / and this community in general. Because I have been neither, I'm still around... posting. Look at that! That's how certain I am that what I'm doing, to clarify in direct response to what YOU are doing, is not at all wrong nor coming from a wrong place. I actually question where you are coming from, given how the topic has been a subject of obsession for you for far too long.

When questioned I provided evidence. Ample. As much as one can provide, shy of seeing Former First Lady nude with our very own eyes in the flesh... which I've stated as well... Including mentions of her by the name Michael, accidentally, repeatedly, from the words of Obama himself on video. Not just once. Repeatedly. And he held his nanny very dear to his heart growing up who was transgender and referenced in his biography repeatedly as a big influence (surprised you didn’t know that, for as
Much as you like the guy, you should
Read more about him in general here's another random link from half a second of googling about it - https://www.theatlantic.com/interna...nny-was-transgender-now-lives-outcast/330961/), transgender bathroom laws were a key point to his administration, and there are several occasions there is a visually protruding bulge where theres either a coincidental optical illusion, repeatedly, (again, basic understanding of statistics would dictate that is incredibly unlikely to occur on multiple occasions and have it just be a nothingburger) and my eyes can only see what the camera picks up in different lighting dresses and occasions.

Joan rivers said without a punchline to a TMZ reporter we already have our first gay president, Obama. Then there was lots of manufactured outrage like you are doing now.

here's that post you keep forgetting about every single time, conveniently, with references, where I've already mentioned all this:
https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...dition-this-time.2137380/page-4#post-26587991

This is dated back from end of September, 2018! And I'm pretty sure you wanting to discuss it further, goes back even further but I will concede I am too lazy to look it up! So again, I think it is you who has Michelle Obama Genital Guessing Game Derangement Syndrome, not myself, who doesn't bring it up but also doesn't back down to cowardice and.. derangement.

Who you really want to be arguing with and taking this up with is now deceased Joan Rivers who you cant, Obama himself since he said Michael himself a few times on camera, The Guardian / The Atlantic / etc for researching his nanny, his biography for mentioning his nanny, his key administration policy agendas, photographers who captured this protruding bulge, maybe Michelle herself, and possibly Alex Jones haha, *not* myself. Resist the urge, resist!

All circumstantial evidence would suggest its at minimum real possibility. People get sex changes. It doesn't consume my thoughts day in day out. You debunked none of it. None. And none of it is hateful. I don’t really want to discuss it at length anymore, because I *already* have and as I've repeatedly stated as well: it’s not as interesting To me as it is to you. Its been brought up so many times, and its not recently come to my attention, these data points, so I don't think its interesting at all, whatsoever.

I’ve also stated this repeatedly. I don't back down to cowardly demands. You wouldn't know anything about that. But 0 for 5 my dude. ZERO.

Also have you noticed how many times I've said 'repeatedly' in this thread? Why is that? Its almost like I'm repeating myself over something we've gone over, repeatedly. Little Richard seems to have very short term memory. Cue the ' well I just wanted to bring it up, not to silence or discredit you, just wanted to throw it out there'. How thoughtful!

So let people live their lives (which includes being allowed to have different opinions than you but which you don't seem to understand for all your tolerance preaching), sex
changes or not, stop saying “any rational” person knows someone didn’t get a sex change that’s a bigoted statement to make given your obsessive behavior and manufactured outrage about it, and carry on already instead of acting like a childish man baby. It’s creepy and obsessive and unrelated to the subject of the five threads including this one I pointed you to.

An apology and humility and your commitment to not acting obsessively, creepily, and off-topic, down the road in a sixth thread, and yet another time, would be much appreciated!

I hope after that, we can get back to the key subject thread that orange man bad and praising Apple bad and let others pitch in on things that arent just "OMG THAT MICHELLE ARGUMENT THO!"

Imo, you need some fresh air from the swamp and outrage culture too (as I've also mentioned too, but feel even more strongly about) ;) take a breather

Juli, please add “President” to the title of your article. Give the man the respect that he deserves. Maybe I didn’t like President Obama, but I certainly respected his title while in office. Simply putting “Trump” is rather childish.

It's not childish. It seems you are finally stopping to worship the office.

this topic is hard to follow because people are posting essays. I just want to say this. Trump is a terrible president. The economy is strong but every notable economist does not attribute that to trump. In fact, most notable economists think the economy is slowing down partially due to these trade wars. The Tax cuts have no clear benefit to the economy, no clear "trickle down affect." Once cheap borrowing ends, the economy will go through hell, the economy has been propped up by the fed and trump will lie through his teeth about it.

Healthcare is getting ruined, say what you want about obamacare, nobody wants the middling method we have today. DACA kids are in limbo. Transgender in the military is being held together by the courts. No actual progress with North Korea or the middle east.

I personally find repeated lying to be a big deal. I will not accept that as normalized behavior just because I'm still alive and have a job. Pretty sickened by those who think it's not a big deal. To them I say, you are privileged.

Someone previously mentioned that Trump loves his country and is president to every citizen. LOL. Get out of here. He's literally putting 800k people's lives in limbo RIGHT NOW. While lying about how they feel "OH they are like go trump, they don't mind not getting paid." Can't take any of you seriously.

And judging by today's prices, when the time that actually happens, $3K wouldn't be far off from the norm.

If Apple sells less phones I hope they don't raise the price to make up the difference. 1K+ is a tough pill to swallow for an iPhone X. Imagine Apple creating a bendable OLED phone. $1500 base model. Want more storage and Apple Care? Almost 2K.

Holy horsefeathers. As titles in this subforum go, this one isn't even a 2 on a scale of 1 to clickbait and not on the radar for any scale of childishness The title may even warrant a few bonus points for being objectively, verifably factual.

The thread is about Trump being Trump, basically. He was taking on a specific company in an irrelevant, inappropriate and mistake-laden aside when the focus of his press conference was supposedly negotiations over a government shutdown over lack of "The Wall" funding.

When I reference "Trump being Trump" I'm not talking about how presidential he is anyway. He's president at the pleasure of the people and he's more than halfway to finding out if he's already running on fumes for a re-election.

On the matter of Apple and where it makes its gear and what it costs and whether that has any relevance to people out of work thanks to Trump's shutdown:

And judging by today's prices, when the time that actually happens, $3K wouldn't be far off from the norm.

Yeah I do keep remember the tech specs of the Mac512k for which I shelled out $2400 in 1985 dollars. Then I look at my XR and figure it's a steal. Apple's price points are not the problem. I do think they build in coverage of their costs of software development and maintenance by jacking up prices for additional storage or memory to unjustifiable levels... unjustifiable for the hardware. But, I pay it because I want the software fixed and I got a list if they're short of one. :D

"The problem" with the smartphone market in general is that most of the high-end ones can do almost anything and more expected by the average consumer, so we're down to does it look cool enough (light enough, sturdy enough, big enough, small enough, resellable enough) to bother with an upgrade every year? A lot of people already said no. Some have got around to questioning their own need for "innovation" in a device they mostly use to make/take phones calls and jot down reminders to pick up dry cleaning or buy pizza on the way home from the job.

So more people are starting to upgrade less often as time goes on, and that's typical of a maturing market, so the industry has to adapt to the trend. Apple knew that way back when it came out with the "s" cycle. People got onto one or the other cycle for whatever their reasons were, and have tended to upgrade every two years -- or either go early or hold out for longer once in awhile so they can get onto the alternate cycle.

Apple's having announced its expected downturn at a time when the market's busy baking in assorted other downturns is not bad timing. Tim Cook wasn't born yesterday.

Now Trump, he wasn't born yesterday either, but he talks like he was most of the time when he's explaining his worldview of stuff like trade and immigration or just tweeting distractive BS or throwing in irrelevancies at press conferences.

The people out of work right now thanks to the shutdown are not going to become Apple gear designers or robot supervisors even if Apple builds a dozen plants in the USA or even if a hundred million more Chinese decide to borrow money to buy an iPhone made anywhere on the planet. And, we need those US government workers who are laid off right now to get back to work. They have jobs. Their absence is missed. Their lack of pay contributes in a negative way to their local economies.

Thanks, "President" Trump. Thanks for the remarks about Apple, we'll keep them in mind, especially while wondering if it's even legal for you to be making them. And thanks for mucking up the completion of the appropriations bills that were already agreed upon until you threw a wrench in the works for partisan political purposes and shut down government agencies including some of the functions of the border protection you claim to be so concerned about. It's been a gas watching you work lately. We got the video in the can for 2020 campaigns.

Apple still generated billion of dollars in revenue so yes they are ok. Just because they missed their mark doesn't mean they are in trouble.

Could you imagine Apple telling people to buy other phones if they could not afford to buy Apple phones ;):p

One more proof that Trump doesn’t have a clue what he’s talking about - day by day.

Do you honestly believe that?

Trump knows 100% that what he is saying is a lie.

He's simply feeding what his followers will consume.

They may not be in trouble, yet, but missing your mark creates doubt about your ability to continue to perform the way people are expecting, which as we saw, causes a marked drop in share price. Apple still has to pay all their employees, all their suppliers, manufacturing partners... If this is just the start of things to come, that's not good.

This is no ones fault but Apples. They've pushed the prices up and up and they've hit the breaking point on pulling every penny out of their products that they can. It was bound to happen eventually and it was only a matter of time till people realized they're not getting the worth for their money. The days of people doing annual upgrades are coming to an end.

I don't see where he said anything about that being Trumps crowning achievement. Pretty clear his point was that all the "absolutely for certain" doom events that people claimed would be happening under Trump just aren't.
