beta 3 was useless for me because Music app was a dog. reproducible on two separate devices. Trying opening an artist that has LOTS of song (like 366 ish)

Back to beta 2 and confidently/happily staying put until GM if exploitable.

Otherwise beta 2 until further notice.

Interesting. My use case for Music app is exact opposite - if you try to download an album from iTunes Match on b2 it really flips out and graphics go everywhere. Then there's the audiobooks not playing. B3 fixed both of those for me so really much better for me.

Wait could we install a 7.0 beta, jailbreak and use ifunbox or something to edit that one plist? That would see if it's expired right?

To test the expiration date hack instead of waiting 5 more days.

I see, I guess you can try, but i don't think you can gain root access without it being jailbroken, and i believe you have to have the phone unlocked and activated before you can do that.

Where do you get the download that you are talking about? I can't find it on this guys twitter and the link is dead. Also, I don't know if there are more than one modified versions right now, and I'd rather go with the one that is the safe one, which it seems this one is.

I've hacked the file myself and uploaded it to https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/81986513/012014/10 71b3 evasion7/evasi0n 7.app.zip (Mac OS X version)

Worked flawlessly with my intl' GSM iPhone 5.

And yes, it's absolutely reliable - the only change I've made is changing the supported build nr.

Hello,

i have installed 7.1 B2 a few days ago, running very well. Yesterday i did the Jailbreak and installed a few tweaks like ccsettings and iFile.

Then i did a restart an my iP5s went into a restartloop. Until the restart, the device was running well.

Sometimes the iPhone starts without any problems, but most time it reboots.

I did a full restore to 7b2 over itunes. After only Jailbreaking, i restartet the iPhone and now it is stuck in reboots.
It Briefly displays the Apple logo, then to black screen, then logo again, all the time.

On 7.0.4 the iPhone boots without problems.

Does anybody know, what is wrong on my iPhone?

Thanks in advance.

Editing evasi0n yourself is not that hard:
  1. Get yourself a copy of the official v1.0.2(beta) of evasi0n 7
  2. Open the DMG and drag evasi0n 7.app to your /Applications folder (or elsewhere, if you want)
  3. Launch your favorite hex editor (I use 0xed)
  4. Open /Applications/evasi0n 7.app/Contents/MacOS/evasi0n7 in your hex editor
  5. Search for text '11D5099e' and overwrite this with '11D5127c'
  6. Save the file, quit your hex editor

Your copy of evasi0n 7 has now been patched to recognise iOS7.1b3 as something it can jaibreak. Worked for me.

Note: I've just posted both the OS X and Windows versions I've patched myself, the OS X one thoroughly tested. Feel free to use them, should you want to avoid tampering with the files. See https://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?p=18622380 for the links.

That's a known problem with beta 2. Doesn't happen on beta 3.

Edit: HomescreenDesigner works as well but you have to have iconoclasm installed.

Hey guys, I have an iPhone 5S running the latest beta and normally when I had installed a tweak to change the grid size layout, it won't work due to iconsupport being incompatible with b1, b2, and b3.

At that point I tried contacting all three developers that made the tweak and they said that they won't update it for the beta, because its a beta. Which is understandable and I respect their decision.

Since this was a major downfall for me I went under a little investigation which resolved in me discovering a method that works!

1. I installed both iconsupport and Iconoclasm (paid for)
2. Then went into iCleaner Pro, press the "+" key on the bottom left, then pressed on "MobileSubstrate Addons" and scrolled down till I reached "IconSupport".
3. I then hit the toggle to disable it, needing a respiring to take effect, then after that it works flawlessly!

I tried couple different layouts and all of them work fine. Tested with two iPhone 5S' running 7.1b3.

**I tried using this method with HomescreenDesigner (paid for) and it still doesn't work at all. It just gives you four icons on the top row per page and no changes will take effect.

So far my phones been running normal with it disabled for acouple of hours now.

Thought I would share it with you guys, I hope this helps you guys out!

Edit: I just tried rebooting my phone and the layout has stayed the same.

Nobody else having these Rebootloops after Jailbreaking Beta 2 or 3?? I have read on Otter Sites, people are having the Rebootloops also at Beta 3.

Maybe the ipsw from beta 2 or 3 has some errors?

I had a couple more issues with b3 with tweaks so i reverted back down to b2. Though i sometimes do have boot loops, i don't worry about it. My phone always turns on

This is info is what i needed thanks :) went back to 7.0.4 because of the missing icon tweaks but 7.1 beta 3 is superior in many aspects

What issues?

I had issues directly with biolockdown. The tweak is not compatible with b3. Because of this I had trouble turning my phone off, etc. I was on b3 for about 10 minutes. I prefer having the tweak than not.

Got a slight off-topic question - what does the reboot cycle look like for anyone else with an iPhone 5s jailbroken on 7.1?

My iPad mini retina boots completely normally but iPhone 5s does a weird cycle where it starts boot, then Apple logo flashes off and it starts boot again (sometimes does this three or four times, sometimes none) before it then reboots. I've tried complete restore and rejailbreak many times and effect is always the same.

I reinstalled the evasi0n 7 untether in Cydia and it made it better but just wondering if anyone else has this before I do another complete restore but set up as new phone. It does work, just a little bit annoying I guess and can't understand why it works fine on my 64 bit iPad mini but not as perfectly on my 5s.

Did find this on jailbreakqa.com so other people are apparently seeing this but they obviously don't like to talk about betas on there so closed it:

http://www.jailbreakqa.com/questions/210710/iphone-5s-71-beta-2-jailbreak-reboot-issue

Did a fix ever come of this?

I saw the same on my iPhone 5 but not retina mini wifi.
