Then let me rephrase, I realize why you are in this forum...I wonder why you are participcating in this discussion.

I realize the semantics of your discussion, but when you throw out a potentially polarizing statement such as that your intentions are clear. You are not here to compliment iOS users. Stop hiding behind the semantics and own up to what you really mean.

So, by inference, the only reason one should post on these boards is to compliment iOS users? What is this, a place of discussion or Kindergarten?

Not at all, this is a place for discussion of the pros and cons. But if someone has already decided that there are only cons for them, why would they continue to be a part of the conversation?

I don't think this is a fair reading of the points Wikus has raised in this thread, but whatever.

Please no delays, but if the A5 is overheating, then that's not good.
That was one rumor that circulated briefly in July. Has there been any real evidence for this?

All of this hype (it's in the mainstream media now, too) is making me think that whatever comes out, the vast majority of techies will say how disappointing it is.

9to5Mac or AppleInsider I think it was - but I agree. This better be damned good - I resisted to get a replacement iPhone 4 today.

Slightly off-topic, but I just went to the Phanroid website and looked at their forums. Is it just me or do they hate anything that involves Apple?

Just like some guys here hate everything that involves Google ? You reap what you sow.

No, the vast majority of Mac/Apple forum goers will say how disappointing it is, techy or not. Hype usually does that. The more secrecy and delays, the more hype, the more people get disappointed.

If these rumors are true, apple will be putting up some pretty stiff competition against apple in the smartphone market

I am just looking forward to a way to combine my .mac and iTunes accounts. My email is .mac and my purchases are mobile me. Rumor has it they are working on it.

Some French site rendered this

imagesizer

I think that looks pretty nice.

Dang, the render of the iPhone 5 teardrop design does look sexy.

I could go for the iPhone 5 but I want a dedicated camera button...this also deters me from the Galaxy S II.

I get my Verizon Upgrade Monday. I've decided to Wait for the iPhone 5. Gonna be tough not to go with the iPhone 4.

It does - but what will the iPod Touch look like?

Looks nice, But honestly, It's way to thin to house any technology. lol.

Ha ha!!

And so the fun begins. I've decided over the last few days the fun bit of this next release will be the OS, so im going to go the fleabay route and get a 32gig iphone 4. It will get me off this BB and i'll be happy with the 4. Anyways, it looks like i could be waiting a while to actually get a 5 going be these rumours!

How much fun would it be for Apple to hold a press conference to announce that the next iPhone will be delayed until the summer of 2012.

I would wet my pants.

Ok, I'm sick of this. I'm buying Samsung Galaxy SII. Bye

When you can't buy the best, settle for the rest.

Honestly, the iPhone 4 is still the best phone out there, so if you will not wait for the next one, just buy one of those instead.

Sure some other devices have better hardware specs, for total experience and usability, the iphone 4 is still the best phone ever made, and will be until the iPhone 5 is launched.

I suggest you just wait.
