Does anyone know the best time to go in and check? First thing when they open? Or do they get stock throughout the day?
From historical experience, Regent Street and Covent Garden get their deliveries first thing. In both cases, if you arrive when they open and the staff say that they haven't received anything, ask them to check if the inventory team has loaded the stock onto EasyPay yet and/or if their daily delivery has arrived. If you're happy to wait for 20 minutes or so you may strike lucky. Polite but firm etc.

Thanks. Seems like you have some insider knowledge by the sounds of things! I'm not sure getting there when they open is a viable option for me unfortunately :( But will keep that in mind if I can make it one day before work!

Remember that these are high value and relatively unpopular products for Apple and so don't expect shelves to be cleared out like you might with iphones or the watch. Hence why people are casually strolling in and buying MBPs with little fuss.

Ah fair, thought they had previous pre-order issues or something.

Do you mean if a part is broken or something like that?

I also have a pre-order with Currys. I ordered the top spec 13" model, they currently have a £100 discount on Mac laptops. Combined with my 8% discount with Currys, I was able to order it for 1700. Hopefully 10% Quidco as well!

Going to see if the store closest to me has them tomorrow, fingers crossed. 2 hour journey though yikes!

So in terms of MBPs we can pick up instore, I guess it's not possible to pick up a base 15" but with 512GB? If not, what 15" options do I have with 512GB SSD?

Just a heads up- all 13" models are now available for pickup across London.

BTO models from start of January.

13" TB available for pickup in Aberdeen. Just ordered a 512gb version.

Just a heads up, if you have BUPA healthcare, you can sign up for BUPA rewards, which gives you money off Apple!

They're in store for pickup across most of Europe:

Just spoke to someone at Stormfront the Apple Reseller, they told me they're not expecting any MacBooks to come in till end of next week.
