The USB C charge cable is shorter than my old MacBook Pro late 2012 cable. Does anyone know if Apple do a longer USB-C cable?

The USB-C cable that Apple makes is the longest on the market that works and is safe. You can get this to extend the power adapter though.

Im in same situation. BAse 15" bumped up to 512GB SSD, for instore pickup (White City, London) currently showing as 4 January.
Hoping London stores start getting stock in which case I will cancel my order and go pickup.

If nothing happens with the 15 inches today it will be very annoying indeed. What on earth is the hold up given the relative fast roll out in the US? Do we live in the dark ages in Europe or something?
Can someone please give me the direct link to check MBP stock from istocklive? I can only see the page to check iPhone stock in the UK.

Yes in Bristol. All 13" though. I picked mine up yesterday, cancelled my 6-12 December order. No real chance to use it yet though.
Absolutely loving my 13" tbMPB so far, collected it yesterday and its a huge upgrade from my 2012 15" rMPB (1st Retina MBP).
Like the keyboard, force touch trackpad it taking a bit of getting used to, but I'm getting there.

I'm clearly doing something wrong. Cannot see any drop down box and only iPhone stocks are showing.

Anyone aware if Regent Street or Covent Gardens are stocking 16 GB Ram /512 GB SSD versions of the 13" Touch-bar? I can see the 8GB 512GB are available for pick-up, but not really worth going for unless 16 GB ram I think?
I am hearing more positive news about battery life after re-install, so might be tempted to update my base model to Touch-bar.
