For anyone on at&t plans. my bill just came in with all the upgrade fee's for the 3 phones im upgrading. Was able to waive the fee's automatically online with 2 clicks.

For each phone line was this button "dont recognize this fee"

Click it, then hit "ok" on the next pop up window, and it will automatically credit you for the upgrade fee's.

I don't see the $35 fee yet.

For those in the second wave, I believe this flight will have iPhones going to cities in the northeast. I’m not positive about that though-

Historically my phone has come straight from Louisville to my local airport (on Thursday night) in the Northeast.

More than once, a UPS shipment of mine has been held at Louisville until early morning on the day of delivery. At like 4 AM they'll finally put the shipment on a flight to Boston. The folks at UPS love to make me worry!.
I think that is standard so that they don’t deliver early. If they don’t leave Louisville until the wee hours on Friday, they don’t have to worry about early deliveries.

Verizon says that there is a $35 upgrade fee. When I receive my iPhone on Friday, will I need to call in to get the upgrade fee sorted, or will they just automatically put it on my next bill? Don't wanna sit on the phone with them all day because Verizon CS sucks.
They’ll automatically bill you for it unless you get them to waive it. They always tell me it’s a one time exception but I think they’ve waived it every year.

Not sure if any movement will happen today but there are two flights leaving SDF to LAX today. (for us SoCal people)

😌
Nope - tomorrow (Thursday) will be the day they move to respective cities.

I am in Ontario and looking at 2 flights early in the AM - UPS 916 or 918:

You have some nice UPS CC folks in TX.

We So Calif people will be laughed at us and tell us to pay money to have it held at a UPS store or UPS Access location.
Mine has been in Louisville for I think 2 days. I work freelance and got a huge job offer for Friday, can’t afford to turn it down. I called UPS yesterday to ask that it be held, no way. agent said Apple put a restriction on any holds so call Apple to remove the restriction. I called Apple, no way, too late, already in the shipping process. I asked them to redirect to ISPU, no way. So my poor wife who took a sick day to wait for my phone will be stuck waiting for our very obnoxious UPS driver, first nasty one I’ve ever had, who refuses to walk or drive from my rural gate to my front door and just sticks a door tag on the gate and then I get the dreaded Sorry we missed you text, even if I sit all day by my front door with signs everywhere, I’M HOME PLEASE DON’T LEAVE WITH MY PACKAGE.

Well, I ordered my iPhone from Verizon online for the first time. I knew that a signature would likely be required for the package, so I thought no big deal, just have the package held at the UPS facility for pick up and I can get it after work.

But lo and behold, I just found out that Verizon put a restriction on the package and it cannot be held for pick up. Not really sure I’m gonna get my phone.

I mean, how does anyone with job get their packages when sellers do this!?
I have the same gripe, although I always order directly from Apple. Apple may not require a signature but my understanding is that the contracts they have with UPS and the carriers do require a signature. I usually try to take the day off but this time it would have cost me too much income so my sweet wife is taking the day off to sign for it. She’s salaried, I’m freelance, so she still gets paid. It’s the same with tech calls and deliveries. We’ve been waiting for 2 weeks to have our new windows inspected because they didn’t show when my wife was on vacation and now we can’t find a day for them to come when we’re not working. Ridiculous.

Just to be clear, I ordered the phone from Verizon, not Apple.

I don’t understand how Apple can dictate how private retailers ship their product.
Why not? We've seen other companies dictate the price that their stuff can be sold or advertised at.... HP is one that immediately comes to mind and I know there's others....
