I'm part of Wave 1, but normally, at this point, UPS My Choice would let me hold for pickup at a customer center. That option isn't available this year (for me at least). Anyone else not able to hold for pickup?
Hm, I have a ring video doorbell so maybe I can answer it on my phone and tell him to leave it behind the screen door or something.
Maybe since we're on IUP and we had to select the phone we were upgrading it just plans to replace that on my number. I guess I'll find out Friday! Fingers crossed.
T-Mobile here. I needed to enter PIN for T-Mobile line on Apple site. After Checked out from Apple I received a text from
T-Mobile saying “Thank you for eSignature…..”
I went through the motions of seeing if I could change the delivery time frame and no, it is not a selection. Launch Day deliveries are most likely the cause.
Are you in IUP or did you purchase outright or finance with an installment agreement through T-Mobile?
Ugh, lame... my UPS guy doesn't come until super late in the evening. I was able to do it last year, so I guess this is new.
Same here. UPS said Apple put a restriction on holds and to call Apple. Apple said it was too late as shipping was already in progress. They also wouldn’t redirect to ISPU.
I know it’s hard to read the now 150 pages of posts but so many people have answered this question. Apple won’t change status to Shipped until the phones clear customs in Louisville.
Not the time you want, but you will get a 2 hour window they will choose.
You can also get it delivered to your local UPS Store at no cost if you don't want it delivered to your home that day.
Go to Settings>General>Transfer or Reset iPhone>Prepare for New iPhone on your current phone. It tells you what you need to know and helps you do the backup or whatever is needed to prepare.
Yes past 2 years it's been this way.
Apple as the shipper, restricts this on their end.
You can buy the Premium My Choice membership for $20 and get them to have it held at a UPS Store or UPS Access point for no cost.
Or they offer 2 hour delivery window they choose...
I am not in IUP. Just upgraded from iPhone 14 Pro with an existing line.
Not yet - I am really hoping it comes by Friday before I leave the country. I hate asking a coworker/my boss to do it for me while I am gone.
If the driver can't get to your lobby, then next best is to have them deliver to a neighbor that has easy access.
You can do this on My Choice UPS site or app.
Maybe that's the difference. Maybe because dewbert and I are on IUP it didn't ask us because it automatically assumes since we have to return our existing phone that we're going to be using the same line. Hmmm. Just stabbing in the dark.
I do have my choice premium... and I was able to hold for pickup last year. So if that's still the case, not sure why it's not working this year.
