Get ready for next week; hysteria and panic..."My phone hasn't shipped yet, will it get here on the 20th?"...."Mine has been stuck in Alaska for 3 days"..."No import scan for me, will it still arrive on the 20th?"

My favorite time of year!
That's why I prefer ISPU, that way I don't lose myself to the flight trackers and obsess over where my iPhone is

Horrific deal. Chained for 36 months and early pay off fee if you decide. Yes, Verizon has a fee if you pay off early.
NO, there's no fee. You just have to pay the balance of the device payments and you lose remaining credits. So for my iPhone 14 Pro which was $1100 I paid out $250 while Verizon had covered the rest (not counting taxes). Not an awful deal at all.

Personally, I'm curious if these will ship from India this year. Isn't the rumor that Apple moved manufacturing there?

WRONG! They definitely have a early pay off fee. I went through that $1,000 deal myself with a previous iPhone. I wanted out and paid the difference plus I was hit with a early pay off fee. I know what I am talking about because I went through it. Never again. I was pissed they had the balls to send me that fee and wouldn’t waive it. If I remember correctly the fee was $30 at that time.

I remember the days of having to go to the store to pick up a phone. The 6S release comes to mind. The line at the local Mall was wrapped around the top and bottom floors. The Apple store is on the second floor. Waited for like 2.5 hours to get the phone and was amazed they had enough by the time I got there. Ah, the good old days. Now if only UPS wouldn't require a signature, I'd have it delivered to my condo unit and not worry about having to get to the store.

Ok, I stand corrected...(well, not really). There USED to be an early pay off fee. There is NO LONGER a fee (and hasn't been for years).

I’ve been saying since Monday that I’m not upgrading from my 15PM because it was so marginal… guess what I did today, setup my preorder for IUP for a Natural 16PM. Now let’s hope it gets here on launch day, I’m leaving the country for two weeks the next day.

Does anyone know what the steps are to pre-order once you get into the Apple Store App at 5AM PDT?

Like, do I go to "For You" page and then tap the selected saved iPhone 16 Pro that I want and then add that to the cart?
It depends on what steps you have already completed. As of this afternoon the Apple Store is now allowing you to build your iPhone configuration using the "Get Ready" process and it will show up in a tile at the top of your "For You" screen. That's how you will know you are ready for the quick purchase tomorrow.

If you only saved the device you will still need to complete the "Get Ready" steps before you can add it to your "Bag".

You also want to have your payment information already saved in the app. This includes your Shipping Address and payment method. Complete these steps today.

If you’re trading in your old iPhone to apple, can you bring it on the same day you pick up the phone? Or if I choose the shipping option, can I still go to the Apple Store another day to trade it in?

I’m not sure how fast the mail in kit comes and I’m leaving the country the following week for vacation..

I did my pre-order set up in the app for a 256GB Black Pro Max - Trading in my 15 256 Pro Max through Apple. I usually do a 3rd party but the offers weren’t significantly better.

hello everyone. same time same place. Im prepped and ready to go for pre-order. Currently travelling in the UK. At least I don't have to wake up at 8.00am eastern. I am now a Miami Beach resident. So I will be shipping to the Lincoln Road store. I will be watching all the planes come and go. This past July, I was at the Anchorage airport. It was great to see where our shiny new toys land stateside. Have fun ordering everyone..looking forward to share in the excitement

What are the get ready steps. When I go to my app my phone is under “For you” and when I click on it my phone is there, carrier service etc but that’s it

How can it ship at all if it hasn’t been ordered yet? Can’t do that until tomorrow morning. And how do you know it’s in Alaska for three days? This doesn’t make any sense.
“Next week”. By then it will be ordered.

And there are “ways” to see where your device is (I forget the specifics.)

So to all of us that don't have Att/verizon/tmobile/boost....what are the options to get the phone and finance it with apple card?.....not paying it out right?
Good question.

Those that have MVNO carriers, usually will finance with the Apple Card, setup a number with one of the major carriers.

Then make the purchase, and when it arrives, port the number to your MVNO.

I have had TMO for years and this year I am switching to an MVNO.

I will order it using the Apple Card financing but when I receive it, I am switching over to Visible.

Then I port the number to Visible and as long as I do this before the end of this month, I am golden with a $15/month rate for 5 years.

is AppleCare Theft/Loss Prevention worth it?

Or should I just stick with regular Apple Care?
Depends on how long you plan on keeping it.

Also if you use a card to pay the monthly cellular bill, they may be offering protection from theft, loss or damage.

I use the US Bank Cash+ card to pay my monthly cell bill and it protects my phone.

I don't usually buy Apple Care unless I am buying a Macbook or iPad where it's more prone to get damaged or stolen.

so if i'm buying my phone outright (via vet store so no option for payments, etc).... am i better off just buying a generic unlocked version to avoid whole activation thing with verizon tomorrow morning?

or is it better to just buy the verizon version since i'm replacing my current verizon phone/number?
