I did my pre-order set up in the app for a 256GB Black Pro Max - Trading in my 15 256 Pro Max through Apple. I usually do a 3rd party but the offers weren’t significantly better.

I noticed this, too. Went with trade in through Apple as well.

so if i'm buying my phone outright (via vet store so no option for payments, etc).... am i better off just buying a generic unlocked version to avoid whole activation thing with verizon tomorrow morning?

or is it better to just buy the verizon version since i'm replacing my current verizon phone/number?

I always buy the generic unlocked version and then activate it with T-Mobile at a later time. I’ve been with them for over 10 years, I don’t like to be locked into a carrier maybe one day I’ll leave T-Mobile who knows. Lol

I’ve seen mixed comments about in-store pickup/trade-in. I haven’t picked up an iPhone in-store in probably five years. Since my UPS deliveries always arrive at night and I have weekend plans, I considered store pickup as an option because I could do it when the store opens. However, the thought of standing in the store and transferring things or setting up the phone definitely makes me hesitant about choosing in-store pickup.

I highly doubt Apple would require immediate handover of the phone. It makes zero sense. It would also slow the line in busy areas like Philly.

Those who are getting a Pro model and on an MVNO such as Visible or Mint, which provider did you select? I know last year only T-Mobile worked but this year it seems that none of the "models" require you to activate with your provider ahead of time

256 is pretty much standard for me now on all devices. But with all the AI coming up, the 512 is tempting.

Download the Apple app. Select the phone and start the order process

I always have the app and the desktop page ready to go. Last year, the app wouldn’t load but the site was up just fine.
