Apple stores replenish daily.

Updated inventory will show each morning, before the store opens.

The Apple site says delivery Friday but my UPS tracking is saying tomorrow. I'd say you'll get it sooner than Thursday.
I think you may have been on to something, it popped up in Louisville with an estimated delivery date of Wednesday!

Apologies in advance as I haven’t had the chance to go through all 238 pages of this thread yet, but I’m wondering if anyone else who had a 9/20 delivery date still hasn’t received theirs?

Mine made it to my local hub, but then somehow got misrouted to a hub in the next state. It missed the truck/trailer on Sunday and, unfortunately, it missed it again today (Monday).

I could reach out to UPS, but based on past experience, I’m thinking I’ll have better luck going through Apple directly. I saw on the Apple Community forum that someone mentioned Apple was willing to cancel an order, even if it hadn’t been delivered yet, or could start an investigation. Has anyone here gone that route? Curious what your experience was like.

Thanks!

Do any of you know if it's possible to do an in-store trade-in if the phone was delivered via mail? As in, could I go in tomorrow and have them apply a refund after dropping my old phone at an Apple Store?

I have not received my phone yet either. I called Apple this morning and was told I needed to wait 72 hours after UPS says it will deliver my phone (which now says they will deliver it by 7pm tonight—even though it hasn’t been scanned anywhere in their system since it was put on a truck for delivery Friday morning). I was able to call UPS and have them start an investigation—so I’m hoping that will help move things along more quickly.

Yes they will take your trade, but it may be a bit lower than applying it when you first made the purchase for delivery.

You will get the credit in an Apple Gift card.

No cash - no credit card refund, etc...

I contacted Apple and was told yes, then she said I can't do it in store, then it changed to I can do it in store but that it could require a return/re-purchase.

I also asked via the iMessage chat (or whatever it is) and was told they'd need to cancel the "order" that's attached to the return kit, and then I could do it in store.

I said screw it and used the box that's probably about as good as sending it back in a sock, and dropped it off at UPS.

I am in a similar boat.

Mine arrived to my local UPS hub but never made it on the truck for Friday delivery.
Then Saturday delivery was updated, but never arrived.
Come Monday, my package has not moved.
Appears to be an internal theft issue.
Filed a claim with Apple (UPS does not accept claims from the receiver).

Was asked by Apple if I wanted a replacement or refund.

Finally got my phone! After a looong and frustrating ordeal with Apple, finally was able to pick up the phone. Long story short, my phone was ready to be picked up on Saturday the 21st.. my intention was to go pick it up today (Monday the 23rd).. wellllll… it turns out one of the associates gave my phone to someone else! My Apple Store app showed that it had been picked up by someone..

Well, it’s possible. If Apple is sending you a box to mail in your trade, the store may not do it. I’ve had them tell me that I have to use the return shipping box, but I bet it depends on the local store’s policy.

At the end of the trade in process if you give them your order number they can apply it to your online order. You have to do this within 14 days of receiving the new iPhone and this will give you the full amount. They will also need your card to refund it to the card. I do this every year: order online, do not select that I have a trade in, then go to the store and trade in my old phone.

If you don’t have them apply it to an order number then it will be less and they’ll give you a gift card.

I’m going to give UPS one more day. If there’s no movement by tomorrow morning, I’ll contact Apple to cancel the order and redo the Apple Upgrade Program—this time in-store at an Apple Store.

Welp I'm back again, this time doing the opposite of this thread. I had so much fun tracking the plane from china with my iPhone 16 Pro that I am now watching the plane carrying my returned 14Pro to Apple's facility in JEFFERSONVILLE, IN.

Thank you for confirming that the order will be canceled, even though the iPhone hasn’t been delivered yet.

As I’m part of the Apple Upgrade Program, I’ll need Apple to coordinate with Citizens to cancel the new loan associated with the device. Additionally, it’s important to work with AT&T to ensure the phone is not activated, as I believe it may be configured with my information in some way.

If anyone has experience with this type of cancellation process, I’d appreciate any insight.

Yes, do contact Apple.
They will do the trace and investigation.
Also they will help with the upgrade replacement.

I chatted with Apple online and they offered the replacement or refund.

I'm not going to exhale until I get confirmation from Apple that the order has been canceled and we're back to square one. I'll wait until the new loan is removed from the site, and then I'll start the order process again.

Yes, cancelled and requested a refund.

I bought mine on Saturday at the Apple store.

Hoping to have Apple cancel the pre-order since I have 2 phones purchased on my Apple Card....

Canceled a Black Titanium PM 256GB that was supposed to be delivered October 8-15.
Just ordered a Desert Titanium PM 512GB via courier delivery that will be delivered today from 5-7pm.

Went into a store this weekend and saw scratches on the back glass of every Black Titanium that was being displayed so decided to go with a different color.

Received my phone via courier delivery today but no trade-in kit.

I am assuming that the trade-in kit will be shipped separately. Does anyone know if it arrives via FedEx or UPS and if there’s a way for me to track it? Also, does anyone have a picture of it?

I am not receiving this myself so would be helpful if I can show my family what to look out for. Thanks!

Yes it is set to activate on your AT&T phone number and will prompt for the last 4 of your SSN and your Zipcode (which was on the box). It will not be locked to AT&T which would have limited it's reuse slightly.

That is a complete lie about the contract with Apple. If Apple required a Signature then it would have show on the UPS Tracking Information. That is a Shipper option.

It the package is shipped without a Signature requirement it is up to your local UPS policy and 99% of them leave it up to the Driver to decide if they want a Signature to release the package.

As I posted earlier in response to you that the Driver can not leave the road and pull onto your private drive. It is a standard UPS policy.

Dave
Mine does it all the time. I also live in a rural area & my driveway is long. UPS, FedEx, Amazon, USPS all drive down the driveway. It's like that for all of the houses here
