My 16PM 256gb says October 8-15. I ordered early morning Monday the 16th. Wish I would have decided to upgrade sooner lol. Hoping mine ship soon though.

This is my first time buying an iphone. I woke up right on time for pre-order due to work but I took like 10 minutes deciding on the config etc. and all the stores were already sold out this is crazy lol I wasn't expecting that. Mine says Oct 7 - 14 still. Can't wait to get rid of my old refurbished android.

Yes it is set to activate on your AT&T phone number and will prompt for the last 4 of your SSN and your Zipcode (which was on the box). It will not be locked to AT&T which would have limited it's reuse slightly.

Dave
Is this true for all AT&T iPhones purchased thru Apple? I paid in full and didn’t have to enter any of that when transferring from my old iPhone.

Mine does it all the time. I also live in a rural area & my driveway is long. UPS, FedEx, Amazon, USPS all drive down the driveway. It's like that for all of the houses here
I see UPS and FedEx pull in or back into driveways all the time. Not long driveways, all about 40 feet.

Bit the bullet and upgraded partners iPhone…it was time. Has had an iPhone 12 mini. Oodles of complaints over it. Thought about upping them to an iPhone 13 mini but alas, cannot find much out there. Ordered him an iPhone 16 Pro which is one of the smallest in size. Thought about plain ol 16 but wanted to make sure he had a decent camera for himself which isn’t a stretch as anything is better than the 12 minis camera nowadays. Think I ordered an iPhone 16 Pro- Desert 512GB. The rest were on backorder. We’ll see how it works out soon enough.

Has anyone received their box (or shipping info) to return their old iPhone to Apple if you are part of the iPhone Upgrade Program? I can see in my iPhone order they are preparing to ship the box to me but I thought they usually got it to me much quicker in previous years. I don’t even see that a label has been printed or anything yet in UPS MyChoice or FedEx.

Depends on your station manager I guess, but ours was strict. We had a courier get attacked by a dog. She had to walk a long distance to the house and she couldn’t make it back to the truck when a dog charged her. The dog messed her up and they gave her a desk job to shut her up.

Also, if we were caught with any type of dog spray we would be fired! You couldn’t even have it in your private vehicle in the parking lot.
They told us to run the animals over, or hit them with a baseball bat, but don’t spray them, AND GET IT DELIVERED!

Anyway, we usually got it all delivered one way or another.

I ordered online for in store pickup and got my phone last Friday. But I also opted to trade in my old one. The trade in kit is being shipped and en route, but I'd much rather go back to the store and trade it in. Can I?

I'm getting mixed signals from searching. Some say I can, some say I can't because the trade was initiated online.

Wow, hope they euthanized that vicious dog.

Pit bull or rottweiler ?

When I went in Saturday to pickup my replacement 16 Pro, I had an issue with my on the spot trade in (removing Find My iPhone) and asked for a mailer instead.

Apple rep said that normally if it's not too busy and they have stock, they can cancel the online order and place an in-store order w/ mailer while I waited.

But because it was 1 day after launch day, the 16 Pro that I had paid earlier if they cancelled it, would have gotten snapped up by someone else as they had run out of all Pro sizes, colors and models.

Took an hour to reset the PW and got the trade in done....

Really not happy with Apple right now. They have made package delivery a complete PITA. I get it's to prevent robberies but it's absolutely ridiculous they restrict you from picking it up at a UPS location.

I requested Apple to release for pickup on Friday and it's still not released. They said it's still "waiting for approval" with order management team.

So now they are going to attempt delivery and I'm not there. I just want to pick it up! It should not be this hard.

I will never go the UPS route again. Only Apple In Store Pickup.

While I completely understand your frustration with your iPhone delivery issue. The Delivery option involves delivery not hold for pickup.

After the first delivery attempt UPS allows you to redirect delivery to a UPS retail location. Do you normally order $1000 items and just expect the carrier to just drop it at your door?

Yes you are asking for an Exception to the normal process that requires manual approvals.

It is not an UPS issue but the Apple delivery process since they are the Shipper paying for the delivery. It sounds like the ISPU is the best option for you.

This is not true. My wife had two failed delivery attempts on Friday/Saturday and they still wouldn't let it be picked up.

Hey guys, originally my phone was scheduled for early October but on Saturday it changed to shipped and it has been in a china warehouse since then. Is it normal to sit there that long?

Have you seen any movements on yours? Mine is like that since 20th… 😅

Were you trying to pick up at the UPS CC or have the package redirected to a UPS retail location?

UPS stopped allowing pickup at the UPS CC as a general policy last year after last September's iPhone launch. But a poster on this thread was able to pickup their iPhone at their local UPS CC on Friday. They just pulled it from the big Brown truck before it was out for delivery.

We made multiple calls to UPS after that 2nd failed delivery and they would not allow anything- no pickup or redirection. The only thing they would allow was changing the date/time of the 3rd delivery attempt. They said anything else had to go through Apple. When I contacted Apple, they said there was nothing they could do at this point.

I promise you it’s not as easy as you insist.

In good news, UPS has finally acknowledged a hold for pickup for my phone. Sorry I’m a little testy.
No worries it tends to happen every year. And Apple and UPS are always making changes that seem to just be seat of the pants or on the fly. The Saturday re-delivery attempt varied widely this year. Some UPS markets had no way to manage the Modification to the shipping introduced by UPS in Louisville on Friday.

Picked up my Black Titanium 16 pro w/512 GB yesterday at the Apple Store (pre-ordered the first morning). Pickup was pretty smooth. I just picked up the phone and a new magnetic charger. Setup at home went very smoothly, although just as slow as always. The eSims were transferred without any hitches. But it literally took ALL DAY to set up my new phone, and turn my old 15 pro into my wife's "new" phone. I started around 11 AM, and finally finished everything around midnight. It amazes me how slow backups/restores still run. You'd think they could make these data transfers run faster between the iPhone and my PC. I guess maybe they want everyone to use the cloud? Is that faster than using a PC for backups? I honestly doubt it, but I've never actually tried it, so don't know. I guess it doesn't help that I still use iTunes for my 9000+ songs, and refuse to pay for Apple Music or Spotify.
