apple's site is saying shipment delayed. and ups is saying awating clearance. But the tracking details says its already been cleared, and no movement since the 26th. anyone in my same boat? oct 2-7th original delivery date

There’s been constant restocks at the Apple stores in nyc since launch and interestingly, every color and size has been restocked multiple times except for the regular 16 Pro in Black Titanium. It’s become elusive.
Not sure why it’s the only color and size combo that’s not being restocked here. I wonder if it’s just the most popular one and Apple is using the inventory to still handle their online orders, perhaps?

Mine was supposed to be delivered on 10/4, but Apple says it was “Delayed. Now arriving Thu, Oct 3.”
So delayed a day earlier! 😂
UPS still shows it is in Zhengzhou with no change in date: 9/26/2024.

Anyone else with an iPhone Upgrade Program order seeing an extreme delay with Apple marking the trade in received? FedEx tracking shows it arrived a week ago, still no acknowledgement from Apple.
What or where are you looking? Or rather what time are you looking at the stock? I’m trying to find a natural titanium and a desert titanium 16 pro max but cannot find anything near NYC or NJ border
Finally have departed China! Delayed my delivery by 2 days due to clearing customs it seems like.
Anyone's recent order got delayed? I order a regular iPhone 16 white 128GB last week with a express delivery date of Sept 29-Oct 3, now this morning, it changed to Oct 29-Oct 30

yep. mine was stuck on "shipment delayed" and the UPS tracking says it was cleared, but hadn't had movement since 9/26.
Well today, not only was the tracking removed from my phone (while still saying shipped), it says "return started". AND I see another iphone black titanium with "replacement" appended on the end of it with a Oct 24th - Oct 31st shipment date. Original date was oct 2 - 7th. WTF

- Agent's Message: Checking in here, I can confirm that the last update we had from UPS was 09/26 and no movement with the shipment since then.
- Agent's Message: Since it’s been stuck for quite sometime, our Order Admin team, who’s monitoring the shipment have determined that the best course of action would be to issue a replacement instead.
- Agent's Message:They have instructed our partner courier to have the original package returned to Apple, if ever it was located. And at the same time, a replacement was issued which is scheduled to be delivered between Oct 24 - Oct 31 EST.
- Agent's Message:My apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused. We will make sure that there will be no issues with the shipment of the replacement and that it be successfully delivered to you.
- Your Message:Is there any alternate solution that would result in getting my order by the original promised date?
- Your Message:As in in store availability?
- Agent's Message:That's a good question.
- Agent's Message:Our Order Admin team have already considered all methods to get you the package as soon as possible. However, as most of the iPhone orders are now being placed online and limited availability in stores, this would be the best option that have created.

Mine was flown from S. Korea to Alaska then to Louisville so I don't think a port was involved.
Zero impact on iPhone shipments and deliveries. They are all shipped by air. Once inventories improve your iPhone may ship from an Apple distribution hub here in the US.
Your iPhone started in China then was flown via S. Korea (ICN), Anchorage (ANC), and Louisville (SDF) before being trucked or flown to your local UPS distribution point.
ETA: still working on spelling...

I ended up cancelling my initial order that was estimated for oct 8-15 and reordered and have dates of oct 18-25 (it was my bad no big deal) but I’m surprised hearing how many of you are having dates shoved out for various reasons. If anyone has dates that are later like mine I’d love to hear your updates! I still enjoy hearing how people’s dates and everything end up lining up lol
My window for a natural 1tb pro is 14-21. I was hoping to hear people had been getting theirs expedited.

To add a data point for those tracking:
- Preordered about 15 minutes after the store went live and got an Oct 2-7 window
- Phone was stuck in customs in China for about 80 hours
- Date slipped to 10/3 until this morning, phone left Alaska to Kentucky this morning with an “Arriving today” window and was delivered around 2pm in Texas.

We have arrived and left Korea and Alaska already today. It’s been a long travel day, and hoping for another tomorrow. UPS still has my delivery scheduled for the 4th instead of the 3rd though. I did receive my trade in box today which made me excited even though I knew it wasn’t my actual phone.
I'm still stuck in processing with a potential delivery date between the 17-24th, In the mean time Mindlessly check for progress daily, but I really don't expect to see any thing for at least another few weeks.

That happened with my watch. UPS didn't have it until launch day when it was magically out for deliver after no movent at all since it was ordered. Apple has really fallen down on the job this year.
Apple's estimate is rough compared to UPS's estimates.
Apple only updates after it clears customs at SDF airport.
You should track using the UPS My Choice app for more accurate tracking.
Phone was delivered this morning and is now setup (well apps are still downloading and everything but it’s usable). The desert titanium color is everything I hoped it would be. This might be my favorite color Apple has put out yet. Did not realize how big the pro max was going to be though honestly. Prolly could have done with the pro and been just as good.
Quick version: Phone I ordered pre-order day has been stuck in China for a week. Apple texted today they cancelled that phone and are sending a replacement to be here tomorrow! Cool, right?
Then randomly, as is my habit for the past couple weeks, I check in-store inventory.
They've had no stock for days. Today they have exactly what I want for the first time at the Apple Store down the street. We'll skip over my flimsy reasoning for ordering it. Turns out, it's $10 less when I pick it up at the store. ....That's interesting? Anybody have any fun ideas why?

i'm fairly certain that the $10 is for same day courier delivery so they charge you that at check out. If you did an in-store pick up there should be no charge for that.
exact same situation i went through. but my shipment estimate changed from oct 24-31 to october 3rd (tomorrow) overnight
