Pro Max 1TB Desert Titanium, ordered about 5:07.

Used the Apple Store App on iPad Air with iPadOS 18.1 beta (I know, but it was the first device that got into the store).

Stressful payment experience. I had saved the phone on Tuesday. For some reason, Apple Pay wasn't offered. To use the Apple Card, I had to look up the security code and expiration date on the phone. Entered it and it went through.

Afterward, I could see Apple Pay being offered.
I noticed that the Apple Card option wasn't offered on Tuesday, as well. I went back yesterday to confirm my saved device and the Apple Card option was there. I changed it then, and this morning, it was ready to go - the most flawless order that I can ever recall.

I’m a paycheck-to-paycheck, trailer-renting mom. But every couple years I buy the newest ProMax. Aside from an iPad mini, my phone is my main computer, my camera for photos and videos, my way to keep in touch with family and friends. I work hard and would rather prioritize funds for the phone than higher end clothing, shoes, eating out, or beauty services. And we get good use of it because the phones I buy every 2 years get 6 years of use (2 years for me, then 2 years for my mother, then 2 more years for my daughter). Nothing wrong with paying money for an amazing tool which greatly enhances your life.
iPhones became the new utilities, For me cellphones are a waste of money, you really can’t get your money back no matter what, especially since after a few years they become obsolete hardware. My old cellphones, either have missing chargers or do not turn on at all, and if I fix them up, you can’t do anything anyways, for example I restored my iPhone 4s and you Really can’t do much with it other than use safari, because modern apps are not compatible with pre 64bit iOS software

Trade in values are ridiculously low also, unless one is willing to sell their phones to get some money back. iPhones indeed are a scam to that extent, BUT I consider it an utility, until something new comes along.

Yikes! I accidentally typed in the wrong zip code! Is there a way for me to cancel my order or to get it fixed?
If I call Apple support, are they able to change my order to store pickup instead since i see there’s still stock at my store?

I have a redeemed gc balance on my account but unable to apply to my pre-order and finance the rest on my Apple Card. Even when calling a specialist.

Now… If I do not want to mail back my 14PM, how difficult is it to trade it in-store?

I did not see an option for choosing mail or in-store
I think as long as you are not on IUP, you can do the trade in at the store.

It fascinates me too, even with financing it's amazing how many really struggling people do this, but you could also look at like this. It's a VCR, Camcorder, Music Studio, Hi FI, Camera, full computer and Video Game console. And I assume lots of people feel this is the most important consumer item they own, It's actually a bargain if you really stop and think about it.

I guess the crazy part is many have a few year old model and it's more than fine, or could buy a used iPhone. So yeah, but hey some dump TV bills, even seen a few say they would give up their car or buy a less expensive car to have a top of the line iPhone, I guess they use it more than anything else in their life.

We are a country in massive debt. I carry more than I should, I know I should just pay it down. I assume most carry some debt and we all just pay the interest.
Also, for many people it's not a full price purchase. For example, if you're trading in a 14 or 15 Pro Max then the actual cost is $500 or $650 less than the retail price.

Ohhhhhh

So everything went through but I am now noticing that the billing address for my payment defaulted to the apple store address....WTH. I used Apple Pay and this is the first time this has happened. I wonder if I should change my billing address on the card until it charges and then change it back later but then I am concerned it would be flagged for fraud or something. what to do what to do

Citizens IUP approval email received! Apple confirmation email was fast too this year.
I still haven't received an Apple confirmation e-mail, but my order shows "processing" on my Apple order page, and I received an AT&T Installment plan agreement e-mail. But it's weird no Apple e-mail. I haven't had that happen before. My order was in by 5:02-5:03, launch day delivery 1TB Desert Titanium Pro Max

I had my iPhone 16 Pro pre-order setup in the Apple Store app yesterday. Can't really bring myself to actually pull the trigger this morning. I've upgraded every single year since the iPhone 3G. Just seems like a pointless upgrade this year. Congrats all who have their orders in.
I feel this way every single year, then FOMO pushes me to order.

I’m getting the id verification text after order is placed but the link didn’t work and no mention of it on my account order page. Did you get any of that?
Nope not for me today only the Order email and SMS txt with my AT&T order information. I did yesterday from Apple when I completed the "Get Ready" steps. I got an SMS Txt with a 6 digit code for each line that I was upgrading on the Apple Store app.

Should I be worried if I haven’t gotten charged yet? Checked out at 8:05 and got email confirmation. Used Apple Pay with my new Apple Card (still in the mail). No charge showing yet.
It took about 45 minutes for my charge to show (as pending) on my Apple Card, even though I got the email confirmation immediately. I think you should be fine.

Had to get 1130am for earliest pickup even when I ordered within seconds of the app coming back up. Oh well, still better than waiting for a delivery all day.

THE ONE GOT DARN DAY that I reach for snooze on my alarm clock and accidentally cancel it, and my wife lets me sleep in. Oct 2nd-Oct 7th delivery. 16 pro max black 1tb.

I hope apple does that thing where all the shipping dates move up. but i doubt it. Ugh, I have a flight out of town ON the 7th too

Don’t sweat it I haven’t received an order email for the last 2 preorders. As long as the order is in the app you’re good. I also received the Citizens loan approval email and was charged for the taxes so all is well…
