I can still do store pick up on launch day currently but the one thing holding me back is that the iPhone is somehow the one purchase I can't do 0% on my apple card for. I would have bought already for sure if I could just locking my 0%. Seems really dumb that I can buy any other product with it but not iPhones, I am sure they have their reasons but it may just have talked me out of doing the upgrade I actually want.

I got online exactly at 8am (EST) and finally at 8:17am I got into the order que. I was actually on the phone waiting too and that was faster than online. Ordered the Pro Max and the delivery date was already pushed back to Oct 2nd. It said 'pickup at store on September 20th" but it wouldn't allow me to schedule a pickup in store time. I can't believe they sold out for the 256 in Desert Titanium by 8:20am. I've never had an issue like this before, maybe it will show up earlier.
And the Max's have the same features just bigger screen/battery, people just love the larger phones plus it's tempting when the cost is ridiculously close if you consider you bumping up to 256GB. I'm so glad they didn't make any major features exclusive to the Max.
Ordered 16 pro max 512gb in Desert Titanium. Didnl the apple preorder thingy and it came up at 5:02pst. Literally 1 click to confirm order than paid for it.
So this is the weird part. I got the email confirmation showed up on my iPhone in my mail and then it disappeared but then when I look on my iPad Pro it’s in my email over there so weird it still has not shown up on my email on my iPhone and they are both synced together But it’s fine because it charged my Apple credit card and it did show up in orders until now. orders is not working so I will receive it on delivery day along with my Hermes series 10 Apple Watch with Kilm Béton band and two additional Hermès Kilim bands.

That’s the way I feel. I have a 15PM, and I’ve been going back and forth on upgrading since I get all the AI features (aside from visual intelligence). But I decided if I don’t like it I can return it, out of all my devices the phone is the one I use the most, take all my photos and videos on, and enjoy.
I have AirPods Pro 2, Watch Ultra 2, and the AirPods Max didn’t get a big enough update to convince me I need to upgrade my pair. The phone is the only thing I’m interested in this year.
I was crazy and just never went to sleep because I knew I would over sleep. Still wide awake.
Funny, no one seems to mention that new camera control shutter button, the ability to record in 4K at 120fps, the fact that the 5G speeds are 26% faster, or the fact that USB charging now tops 45 watts. Those are killer features IMO. 😊

First large phone, so I guess I'll see how I feel, don't think the mini's coming back. Was holding out hope that the next SE would be a 13 Mini chassis but that doesnt seem likely based on every recent rumor so might as well get all the fun bonuses of the Pro if my phone has to jump in size

Moved from ”Order Placed” to “Order In Progress” so now the waiting begins to start the tracking. I did in-store pickup last year so I missed out on all of the fun with the plane tracking. It was nerve-wracking to see it sitting in the In Progress status all week while everyone else could see the flights heading over for those getting delivery. I’ve been doing the tracking since the IP 7 Plus debacle years ago.
Watch your order over the next week. Last year, some people’s moved up to launch day delivery after first getting a later date.
I agree, my 5g speeds on ATT are trash, so hopefully that increase helps. And faster wired charging is great. I’m going to keep a 45watt brick plugged into my car if I need fast charging.
They usually charge the tax if you are using IUP payments and maybe regular payments on Apple Card.
Makes sense. Ally never called me back up and my card status online shows “ account on hold “. So I guess it’s not usable anymore. Don’t matter ordered using my other card.
I don’t have to worry about tracking this year as I chose store pickup for the first time lol
Yep monthly installments requires a carrier selection now and since I don't use one of those carriers I cannot use the 0%
Camera control shutter button has me drooling, always wanted that! I can't tell you how many times I missed that shot of Bigfoot fumbling with the screen! Now he's toast, say cheese mr Bigfoot, and warn your alien friends, your days of running are numbered now we all have instant point and shoot cameras with us all the time!😂
