Stuck with the base 16 in black at 128 GB. Coming from an SE 2, it should be a pretty big upgrade.

First preorder for me since the 6. Everything went smooth. Had already done the pre-preorder. Opened the app on the iPad right after 7 (central) and let it wait while opening and force closing on the iPhone. After about a minute, it opened on the iPad.

Pending charge for tax was already on my Apple Card. No problem with the financing. I'm trying to remember, but I can pay it off early, right?

I work from home, so shipping is fine. Due to arrive next Friday. Hopefully the trade-in kit goes better than it did with my MBP two years ago.

Sorry but it happens every year. The Fraud systems are automated and even when you pre-check with your Credit Card processor it often fails. The good news is that Apple just holds your order for a period of time to allow you to provide another payment option.

The real reason may be on the Apple side or Ally we will never know all the facts. Often the credit processing system is overwhelmed on the Apple side due to the volume other times it is your friendly automated Fraud scan by your CC company, Ally in your case.

My apple pay payment failed...tried 2 cards and wouldn't work. I called my bank and they said nothing was declined and they don't see a payment request from Apple.

I’ll be completely honest. Even though I’ve liked the natural titanium color on the 15 Pro, it’s been a long time since I had a black iPhone and that was my primary reason for upgrading LOL. And I just saw the iPhone 16 Pro Max camera has an a new anti reflective lens coating. Lens flares have been one of my biggest complaints about the camera.
 
Ahhhh, these pre-order threads. Upgrading from an iPhone 12 Pro, so it feels nice to be back after four years.

iPhone 16 Pro, 256 GB, Natural Titanium was placed and should be arriving on the 20th. lets goooooooo

Went the monthly installment route this time around, 0% APR vs. the inflation rate is basically free money. Only slight concern is that I don't have a postpaid plan with the major carrier (T-Mobile), so hopefully there's no activation issues in doing so like the regular iPhone models. I heard it was fine for the 15 Pros last year, hopefully they didn't change anything this time around. Seems like it should be fine, though.

Guess this is another yearly reminder:

The phones will leave China late tonight or tomorrow.Then arrive in Alaska Sunday night or early Monday morning. Then the national UPS hub sometime Tuesday or early Wednesday. After that, they are off to your local UPS hub and should get there by Thursday night, and well, we all know what happens on Friday.

Update: tried to call Apple regarding the not being able to use my account balance thing. The rep I got basically wasn't able to help me - I'll try again on my lunch break to see if I have better luck.

A little ridiculous that I have the balance there, but can't use it.

I need to cancel an order due to wrong zip code being put in. I used gift cards to pay for first order. I still haven’t been charged and the money is still in my account balance. If I put in a second order using the money still in my account balance, will it go thru and can I still cancel the first order?? Sorry if this is confusing.

Same issue. I'm gonna go to the store to try and get it done.

They have their own tracking and insurance on the package. I did that one year, and I took a video of me putting the phone in the package and sealing it. I also took a photo when I dropped it off to avoid issues. lol

Oh, good to know. If I do that, I’ll also ask UPS for a receipt that it was dropped off.

Have you tried calling to correct the zip code on the order?

They're probably more popular with Apple obsessives that preorder the new devices the instant they are available. Doesn't mean much for the general population.

I will always question my choice considering it was a small price to move up. But considering almost all the best features are on both, and the weight between the two is very noticeable, I went just pro this time.
