I hear ya. This is my first year doing ISPU. My kid started Kindergarten and UPS always comes while I’m picking them up.
Daggum it. I shipped my iPhone to my office this year because I don’t want to spend hours at the Apple Store and mall and don’t have the time to take off work to go or wait at home for it. Didn’t stop to think that I can’t use MyChoice to track it this year. It’s a business address, so I can’t add it to my profile. Ugh. I know it will come, but I like the fun of tracking and watching it move. Guess I’ll have to live vicariously through the rest of you.
I was about to mention this! Especially since it's a Friday, definitely expect updates by Mon-Tues of next week.
Apple used to open pre-order at midnight Pacific time... was great for us on the western part of the US, but sucked for east coast folks. They changed the time to the current 5am Pacific in 2020.

Fun fact- if you still have AppleCare coverage remaining on your old iPhone, you can call and get it cancelled for a pro-rata refund. I got over $100 back lol

Last year, iPhone 13 was the bestselling smartphone, indicating a preference toward entry-level flagships. This year, it's Apple's most expensive phone that's taken the crown.
I only upgraded from my 14 Pro Max because I wanted the USB-C port. No other features were important to me.
I was tempted last year, but I would have felt like a total moron for upgrading a 1 year old phone just for the USB-C port. Having waited two years - I only feel like a partial moron.
The USB-C port is the only feature that Apple has added in the last 5 years that I couldn't care less about.
Strange. Hopefully it's something that resolves itself when it "ships" (Yes, I know they're already on the water/road/whatever).
You might be able to find the tracking number using your phone number in the reference field.
Yup, I couldn't get in for at least 15-20 mins, so mine is coming between Oct 2nd & 7th 😩
I was able to get in via the app at 8:08a, order took less than 30 seconds, 256GB black Pro Max, delivery next Friday.
I'm going from 14 Pro to 16 Pro Max, so it's an upgrade just from a size/battery life perspective. I don't think I would have done 14P > 16P though.
None of the Las Vegas Apple stores show any stock available on 9/20, but I'm sure that if you show up, you can score one.
I get 10% vet discount and 3% Apple Cash back and can’t do financing because of the vet store.
6% is rare…. Like maybe black Friday or cyber Monday

I got store, luckily….. but when I went back looking to see about ordering for a different store and cancelling the initial ones…. there was no longer any availibity anywhere

Can’t remember if the iPhone 15 had WiFi7 but the new 16 pro max does.
I don’t know. I think only if you buy AppleCare separately. And I don’t think you can get a partial refund if you had a claim on that device.
I had my gift card already added in my Apple account and it applied it, no problem. My AppleCard was charged the difference.
None of those are features are anything I care about AT ALL and had zero influence on my decision to upgrade.
Truthfully, the decision was pretty marginal - based on the presence of the USB port alone, with additional interest in the larger screen. Normally, I would wait another year - but I don't think I will live that long. To that end, it was kinda foolish to buy ANY phone - but I figured "screw it" - at least my kid can have it when I go.
I'm waiting for the iPhone 17 series of phones, I am on the iPhone 14 Pro and I have seen NOTHING that convinced me that I need these series of phones...
