I generally dislike "preloaded" anything.

Including music. :/
I just think this is stupid. I don't want any crap on my phone taking up space. This is what Microsoft does not Apple.
A pre-bundled U2 Album... this is not an incentive to buy an iPhone. I better be able to delete the album; Bono will not be wasting space on my flash storage.

Many of the anti-U2 comments of the past week are being made by people who are biased against U2 because their music is no longer relevant in the eyes of most "anti-U2" commentators. End of story.

Just as I felt many of the anti-Beats comments a few months' back were made by people who were biased against Dr. Dre because of the color of his skin, and the anti-Angela Ahrendts comments were due to her gender, I believe many of the anti-U2 comments of the past week are being made by people who are biased against four successful entertainers because of their age.

We live in one of the most enlightened periods of technological development and scientific advances. And yet many of us can't see beyond a person's skin color, gender, or age.

How sad.

i hope they don't play as big a role as Duran Duran played in last weeks 4th gen US Miata launch/cluster...

Hopefully this is about a totally new iTunes/beats overhaul. Because iTunes really needs some work

Modern youth has no memories of music, and nothing to physically hold to remind them of going to the shop on said day with friends, buying that record or CD and playing it 'til it wore out.

Sterile, clinical, fickle noughties youths with your online "boxed set" virtual products, and the attention span of a gold fish... I sincerely pity you, in many ways.

Sounds like a grumpy old man lamenting the technological advances that have been made...."get off my lawn"

Red iPhone and a special edition Beats Black Edition iPhone (that comes with beats earbuds).

If you are going to pay for these celebs, at least leverage what you are getting.

It's true, some people lack the necessary intellect to appreciate his Bobness.

So what you're saying is if I dislike the sound of Bob Dylan's voice (something I can't help) that somehow leaves me without intellect?
Wow, clearly Bono is not alone in being a prick!

Get A-HA to play too - I'd fly to the USA **NOW** :D :D

I would rather see A-Ha and Flock of Seagulls ..... Not everyone here is 15 years old.... Some like me have never cared for U2.... Not even 30 years ago

You really shouldn't hate Bono. I like some old U2 stuff, but I'm not a huge fan or anything. The One campaign was a good idea I thought but didn't catch on. He seems like a decent dude though.
I don't really hate him personally. I hate that he's always used for these things. I mean he's had his time in the sunshine. When do other newer currently struggling popular musicians get a turn? I don't need to see U2 every time a product is announced by Apple. Give someone else a shot.

Man.... if all the hype of a mysterious building and all of that secrecy is a.... stage for U2.... im so disappointed.

I couldn't agree more. Why can't they get a band/artist that someone really cares about... Where at least a band that's current? I may be going out on a limb, but I would say that most iPhone users and iPod users don't even know who U2 is! Well at least their target consumer!!

i know steve jobs is happy
but i rather have a free g-unit cd on it lol

but i would deff take a 5.5in red iPhone
