So what you're saying is if I dislike the sound of Bob Dylan's voice (something I can't help) that somehow leaves me without intellect?
Wow, clearly Bono is not alone in being a prick!

You didn't mention his voice in your original comment, just that he is "dreadful".

Disappointment at ALL-TIME low!!

Code:
I was so hyped looking at the "Secret" White building thinking it was for some big "New" product launch.

Now after reading it is simply a stage Apple built for a band to perform on just put my anticipation at an all-time low.

Haters say: "Noone cares about U2"

Common sense says: "If, at the very minimum, ONE person cared about U2, your statement is false, immediately" - I can guarantee that the common sense statement is true, and I can guarantee that empty vessels make the most noise.

Modern youth has no memories of music, and nothing to physically hold to remind them of going to the shop on said day with friends, buying that record or CD and playing it 'til it wore out.

I used to love buying a new CD, and then browse through the booklet from A to Z while listening to the whole CD from beginning to end. Pure magic :)

The physical aspect of CDs and vinyl added so much more than a lot of people today can even understand. That being said, I am all digital now and have been for a few years.

But I do miss the old days - and I always listen to complete 'albums' at least a couple of times when artists that I care about release something new. More often than not I find great tracks that I enjoy and never would have discovered if I just listened to the most promoted single tracks from those albums.

A Red iPhone 6 would be interesting. Maybe thats why U2 will be present at the Key Note tomorrow.

Sounds like a grumpy old man lamenting the technological advances that have been made...."get off my lawn"

It's not that at all. There is something so much more special about having a tangible record or CD of your favourite bands than a bunch of digital music sitting on a hard drive.

If you've never experienced it, then I doubt you will understand.

Actually I would like to see a boxing match between bono and dr dre or a kangaroo and dr dre, now that would be an amazing keynote and they can probe some of the the iwatch capabilities

Here's betting that U2 have done more for the world than ALL OF YOU PUT TOGETHER, financially and with their own time. Now, I bet that's why you "hate" U2, because you're just bitter and cynical, and complaining and "hating" is way easier than having a balanced, objective approach with informed opinions which are not based on personal biases.

It may be "cool" to hate those who everyone else says they "hate", but listen up folks - it's time to get a life and think for yourselves.

Instead of sitting around fawning over unreleased products, they ARE out there doing good - when did you do the same?

Probably not once.

This.

You guys do know that Gwar and Insane Clown Posse also sell out arenas.

Stop telling they have to love U2:rolleyes:

Can't wait :)

Never understood why so many people on MacRumors hate U2 so much. Bono might be egocentric, but he's doing this world a favor with his speeches and foundation, because not enough big players really care about poverty and illnesses.

We didn't need a new cassette player every year, because the new one had "new features" - we were HAPPY with what we had. In the "old days", computers came with programming instructions and schematics, because the buyer had made a significant investment in their product, so they weren't treated like a chimpanzee with its' mouth open, waiting to be fed more bananas - we were given a product we WANTED to look after and cherish, because learning everything there is to learn about something you have bought, is an experience barely any of today's kiddos will ever know about.

Truly saddens me, but hey - your loss, not ours :)

Born 1975, with intelligence as well as a bank balance :)

I believe that U2's involvement is related to Hi-Res audio coming to iTunes. Maybe their new single will come pre-loaded in Hi-Res.

That sounds like the most reasonable explanation to me. Bye, bye, Neil Young Pono, we hardly knew ya.

Personally I'm hoping for 48-track 96 Khz in Logic Pro X files (with effects) so I can do my own remixes, I'll just need to pick up an iServerRack™, it'll be great.
