Presume you're BTO?
I guess the ones coming from China will begin shipping early next week.
Mines still processing but due next Wednesday...
yeah I'm thinking this is the end of the excitement for now. Assuming its coming from Asia but nothing in UPS showing yet either.

Looks like apple are ahead of schedule with 4th -8th of nov orders prepared for shipment already

I would be so happy if this arrives Tues/Wed next week. Bought a base spec mac mini to tide me over and 8GB ram is not enough for dual monitors and actual dev work.

I believe they use DHL for uk/europe.
the BTO orders tend to come direct from factory via UPS, pretty sure it was the case on my last few MacBooks.

if they do send them in bulk and then distribute via Syncreon, then it will be DHL or DPD. I can imagine that being the case for stock launch day orders.

So the baseline 16-inch will probably be DHL or DPD? Does anyone know if either of those allow delivery upgrades (e.g. pay £x to get it say before 12)?

My last BTO came direct from China for sure. That was a few years ago now though.

DHL don't, but I'm pretty sure people got the option with DPD for the iPhone 13 launch last month. people got DPD notification in the app well before the apple order changed to show 'dispatched'. I'm sure some had an option to choose a slot.

Cool, thanks!

The Costco deals aren’t far off the student pricing and normally I would have cancelled but I added on the student “pro apps bundle” at £150 so loath to lose that.

Guess I’ll just wait it out until mid November ?.

I'll be waiting longer than that most likely. Originally ordered a maxed out M1 Pro 14" with 32GB RAM and 1 TB of storage with estimated delivery of 8th - 11th Nov. I ordered that based on hype though and after checking what I actually will used it was total overkill. Cancelled the order and will go for the base 14" with 1TB storage which will save me £700. Downside is the money hasn't gone back into available funds yet and I can't re-order until it does so currently will potentially be waiting to Dec 3rd and that date may slip further.:(

Which apps do they bundle?

Could be sooner if us early nov order have gone pts

Am thinking about it too. Reviews are mixed, and it seems sensible to wait until they actually have stock before ordering, as you don't seem to be able to cancel online, and customer service is slow. Does anyone have recent experience on their returns policy, is it as good as Apple's (14 day, even if opened and tested)?
I ordered the base 14" from them (£1571 is a crazy good price - their education prices are always the best compared to Apple's or anyone else), they say stock is expected in 22 days but we'll see. Could be before then, could be less.

I've ordered from them many times historically in the past, the only problem with them is if you need to return something. I had to return the new Mini (opened and tested) to them and it took ages just to get that arranged. It was sent back 2 weeks ago and Im still waiting to be refunded. They say it can take some time for the refund to be issued, so its less simple than dealing with Apple in that regard. But they are a legit Apple re-seller ?

Thanks - Indeed the price is really excellent. So did they accept the return of the opened and tested Mini without fuss? I can put up with some delay in the refund if they do accept the return.
I suspect the current lead times are indicative, they might have stock next week judging by the way everyone else appears to be doing so.

Yes they accepted the return, but then again I had a screen issue with the new Mini (it wasn't properly glued down) which I explained to them.

On your last point yes I'm surprised their lead times are quite long, but it was the same with the Mini as I recall, once it was released they received stock and the lead times changed and once I ordered I got it next day, so I'm hoping they get stocker sooner that they're quoting! But even if they don't I can wait a few weeks for such a good price. A hefts saving on Apple's educational discount which is £1708 for the base model.

Re: returns, theEduStore's return's policy says, "Please note as configured Mac products are built to order, these are non-returnable and non-cancellable unless they develop a fault within the warranty period." I'm assuming that doesn't relate to the base model...
