Hey JinJin

Oh are they!!

I didn’t realise that!!

The M1 Max model though

When do you reckon they’ll be available for reserve? Tuesday morning or Wednesday?

Only from what we’re seeing on sites like costco etc. another question if they materialises inext week I guess. You’d like to think apple would have stock at some level and sku options in store

With the current chip shortage and considering how long the lead times are at Apple I’ll be very surprised if Costco‘s delivery estimate turns out to be accurate. As much as I’m excited to receive mine it wouldn’t be the end of the world if it isn’t. I appreciate that I’m lucky enough to be able to (just about) afford one of these things and there are so many who would love one but can’t. I think about that whenever I get too impatient.

I think it’s very likely there will be a few units available retail on Tuesday, but I fear the numbers will be limited and certain configurations may only see one or two per retailer or even be absent all together.

I agree reference the Costco stock levels. How is it the Apple store within minutes ends up with delivery dates pushing back to November, yet the Costco dates remain at five days lead.

I wonder if the Costco site is just static HTML. Surely not ? A quick Google search on Costco UK online reviews perhaps provides some clues. It seems their online operation may not match the in store warehouse experience customer satisfaction wise. Of course, often times people only rant about negative points.

That said, the Pro Max is now finally showing out of stock.

As before. Even if it’s not next week - it’s still a great price.

Ps the US Costco Facebook page says deliveries for Mac Pro’s start from 1st November.

Mine is 9 Nov - 12 Nov, seems really far away! If it arrives on the 9th that would be ideal.

I've opted to try and trade in my very well used 2013 MPB. Anyone had experience of the UK trade-in process when buying a new Mac? They say I have to send it off within 14 days of receiving the packaging, but nothing's turned up yet.

I'm only getting £160 max for my 2013, but it's REALLY used. The screen has scuffs all over it (though looks fine if it's on, I'm using it now), the battery needs replacing (last about 1.5 hours), the screen didn't close properly for a while (but is fine now weirdly), the backlit keyboard hasn't worked for years and the bottom of the case is pure scratches.

Oh 😂

I’ve traded in phones at apple but only instore where they just discount the cost of the new phone. I’m always very untrustworthy of postal companies incase it “arrived damaged “

I think as with iPhones the shipping “experience “ is rubbish for the UK with updates generally a day or two before delivery date

Hopefully the BTO machines might be trackable from China.. will have to wait and see.

I guess given the numbers probably ordered, they could also easily end up in a huge pallet and sent direct to syncreon to then ship.. :(
