12-19 next month. A little unsure about the footprint and design of the Macbooks, however.
The more I see, the less excited I get so who knows if I will be keeping that preorder.

The more I see, the less excited I get so who knows if I will be keeping that preorder.
It was also so much more satisfying to open up a brand new machine and DIY. Also memory was like half as much as apple pricing. I remember slapping a 128gb SSD into my 2011 13" and saving like $500. Those were the days.
I'm rocking the same laptop at the moment, 2017 nTB MBP, it's done 991 cycles as of today and the battery doesn't last longer than 2 hours, with some random shutdowns now and again. Could really do with a new one... I'm hoping John Lewis will offer 0% interest rate on it, then I will get one.
I think a lot of us have PTS but we have had that since Friday. I imagine we might start to see some actual movement and tracking come Monday.
Been PTS since Friday too for my BTO but the date still 4-8th. Losing hope they’ll turn up any sooner
Makes no sense that they are "preparing to ship" if they aren't built and ready to go. There is no benefit to apple really apart from stopping us cancelling at this point but their returns policy is so good that its a bit of a moot point.
I imagine that we will see some actual shipping action come monday.
Does anyone know of any sleeves that will fit the new 16-inch model? Just want something to protect it during transport/commute etc.

I’m will try to use my current 16” original Apple Sleeve for my new Mac. It have been more slippery inside over time and might fit the new chassis well know. If it fits well enough, I’m going to buy another Apple sleeve for old 16” MacBook Pro to the new 2021 16”.
I like the slimness and leather feel of the Apple sleeves even though they are a little expensive. Haven’t been able to find anything similar.
There will definitely be some sleeve reviews on YouTube with new new 16” and Apples old leather sleeves for MacBook to see how they fit.

My Costco Pending charge from Friday appears to have dropped off my Amex account today. I'm hoping this means its turning into a charge and nothing else!
Not with pre-order but I've ordered tech before from Costco and they stated 5 day delivery which turned out to be 2 day delivery so fingers crossed.

Costco is a massive brand name and I genuinely believe they should have no issues with supply lines (I bet they utilise their American roots to assist with their generous discounting). Its just whether we get it within the five days they promise
The good news (I Think), is that the one I ordered on Friday is now showing out of Stock - so it means someone has a handle on stock levels and they aren't just promising the world.

I'm wondering when I'll actually get mine, considering I put the order in on Friday. They're saying 5 business days from the date order was placed, but is that on-top of the release day?
Also, has anyone who ordered via Costco had their order status change yet? I'm currently on Processing.

Costco should be fairly reliable I’d have thought. Just hate the wording 5 days. Why can’t they be a little more specific.
