Anyone else looked at the keyboard and thought... hmm that double anodised black finish would look great all over.
Yeah, I've had that in the past but usually it was updating me of its ping ponging around Europe. Nothing has updated in about 32 hours.
For some reason my BTO was shipped with DHL. But I am in the same situation, no updates for 32+ hours now. The delivery date in the Apple Order Status keeps disappearing, reappearing and fluctuating between the upper and lower dates from the original estimate.

It was locked to 30Hz originally, but that was fixed by an update to Big Sur. I can't remember which one.
I know it's only been one day, but it is behaving itself impecably with the M1 Pro and Monterey.
Same here. Was saying earlier that most of the traveling and updates tend to happen over nights.
Well, Parcelfarce said my package would be with me between 17:30 and 18:30. That time came and went. The van had been in the same place for an hour on the tracking service, and the option to track the package has just gone dead even though I haven't received any notification and the page still says "on schedule for delivery today". The depot is now closed, so I have no idea where my MacBook Pro actually is. This company is a dreadful excuse for a courier. I knew last night that this would be the case! Never mind I guess, hopefully I might see it tomorrow.
Word for word what happened with me, but I was able to get to the depot before it closed at 7pm. Shysters.
they are truly awful. We are near the end of a route and have never had a delivery on the correct day.
I'm in the middle of setting this up as a new machine, the screen is just beautiful to look at, everything has been plain sailing so far, just remembering password and login details for everything is pain.
The keyboard and trackpad don't feel as solid as my 2015 rMBP but overall I love how hefty this is and it is a nice thing to look at. Can't wait to put it to the test, and given how expensive this was I've taken out AppleCare+ no issues whatsoever so a big thumbs up to Costco. Enjoy your new machines as and when you get them folks.

After initial optimism over potential early delivery, now resigned (and confident) it will arrive on Friday, even if the UPS tracking is on the quiet side…

Despite Apple's website saying you need to cancel your order to change payment details, and their online chat being useless, telephone support were ace and changed my payment details. It's gone off my available balance on my other credit card so fingers crossed.
I was in the 4-8th window when ordered which switched to this Friday 29th. If I get in then I’ll be happy but the lack of updates on the (ups) tracking is excruciating
A few comparison shots of the new space grey 14”, and the (not so)old 2018 13”.
Feels like a slab of metal. The extra weight is noticeable, but not unmanageable. The screen in STUNNING, it runs like butter, the speakers are incredible and the battery life appears to be excellent.

Yep my parcel hasn't changed status from 1am last night where it was sorted at the south east processing centre.
So who knows where it even is or when it'll arrive.
Any pictures of the 14” silver? Seems like the model with the least amount of videos/pictures available online! I know it’s very similar to the 16”, but do think the smaller size makes it look better aesthetically.
Also in the shipped-by-DHL-but-no-updates camp. Will be happy with anything earlier than my original 8-11 Nov window. Only mistake I made is selling my M1 MBP before the event, so making do with screen sharing my Mac Mini on my iPad… luckily off work this week so not too much to do!

Mine is saying shipped, but delivery date not until 02/11/2021 - which was the back end of the delivery window when I ordered.
I had to go through the payment on mine again after MBNA declined the initial payment. I just went in through the Apple Store and it asked me to update the payment information.
Yeah, had nothing on the store page but telephone customer service sorted it right away. I wouldn't have bothered with multiple calls to the idiots at HSBC if I'd known it was going to be that easy (also Apple's credit card payment page says 'The payment method for an order cannot be amended once the order has been submitted to Apple.')!
Hopefully that's not slowed my delivery much.
