My 14’’ 10 core/32gb has now shipped with delivery moved up from 8th-11th to 2nd November.
So did my order. Same spec. That was a pleasant surprise
Hi all - Managed to get my 16 M1 Max from Currys and the polishing cloth from apple ( ordered the day it was released).
So glad I went with the 16 as I don’t need major portability other than once a week to the office.
All I can say is wow - what a machine. Such solid build quality and a lovely screen. Still testing pro motion etc but a in all seems like a great upgrade. Although I am coming from 2012 MB-R that I got on release day 9.5 years ago!
Here are some shots and comparisons against my 15.4” 2012 machine!!
Good luck to all those BTO’s - Hope you get asap this week but either way it’s worth the wait!
Congrats to all others who got stock options today! Seems like the retail world had a fair amount of units across the country!!

wow the M1 Max makes the 2012 bezel look ginormous!
did love my 2012 MBP, was my first MacBook after moving from a generation of windows machines... never looked back
ESET is my go to service, super lightweight but does some decent things.
I’d never had any virus issues in 10yrs of Mac ownership but times are changing and nice having some peace of mind.
indeed, current using bitdefender and seems to run pretty lightweight. will check out eset.
as you say, rather have it than not!
I’m upgrading from exactly the same 2012 MBR, and agree with Jinjin, the bezels on the 2012 look huge by comparison!!

Have now used the newly delivered MBP by Costco to cancel the one ordered from AS at time of the launch - still processing somewhere in a distant land.
I got charged about 45 minutes after I ordered minutes after the event.For those with estimated delivery of Friday on BTO, have you been charged already?

likewise for the full amount, but it was always pending and dropped off the statement last Thursday
I just goggled when do UPS planes fly. lol.
And basically people and companies dispatch parcels in the evenings ready to catch the last flight around midnight their time to the next destination.
Early mornings they un load the planes for delivery that day or the next day depending on the location.
And again the planes get loaded again in late evening.
I dont know why we haven't heard anything in the last 30+ hours but im sure something will tonight

There was a flight again today which just landed in Incheon from Shanghai recently (https://uk.flightaware.com/live/flight/UPS81).
Previous ups stuff for me had then gone onto Europe from there.
Hopefully some updates soon.
I do also have an odd recollection of a time where I’d not got any updates for days for it then to finally show that it has already made it to Europe.. so never got any internal updates!
