I’m expecting to be blown away by the pro, not used an original M1 so expecting this to be off the scale.

Haha. Am doing the same. Popping into Bromley this afternoon to pick one up. If its not got enough memory I will open the one coming from UPS in the next 2 weeks, if its OK I will return that one.

I have "borrowed" an M1 mac mini from apple and it needs to be returned by Tuesday so I can't really risk UPS not delivering on Monday and no in store stock being available.

At least thats what I'm telling myself 😄

No update, still estimated delivery for 1st of November.

Yes. Looks like ours have left Tamworth. Though at this point they should have reached the local delivery facility by almost a day!

And yet, no update. I guess UPS employees like a slow week-end.

Yeah, I’ve been away the last week and been trying to make everything work from a caravan in Norfolk. Reading around about how powerful these things are I thought it deserved a proper go.

By the way, was your last MBP silver? This model does look particularly good in traditional Mac silver, I have to say.

My last silver MacBook was the 2012 retina. Been space grey since. The silver looked great in store so happy they had it

Anyone else enjoying the new physical chassis design more than the tapered design, despite the slight extra weight and thickness?

I'm not even talking about 'do you like it, given we get extra ports, better cooling etc', like I straight up prefer this design and think it looks really slick and elegant. Apple's renders didn't do this any justice either as it looked crap with those giant feet in the renders, but the real device looks sooooo much better.
